So the purpose of this mod is to show an advertisement to everyone who clicks on any link on your forum?

I am confused about this mod is this like an affiliate mod where we sign up through your site and generate you money and we get a small %?

I will explain this mod further. If i am wrong, please excuse me.

First of all, AdFly is a well known website. What does it do? well create an account, link your paypal with it and you are done. If you want you go back on adfly, sign in, put a url you want someone to visit and shrink it.The shrinked url someone will visit will make them pass a add. after five second they can skip the add. And for each visits AdFly will pay you an amount monthly.

This modification will force every urls to pass trough an auto generated ad-fly link linked to your account. Wich will in fact give you money. But you can modify the mod so example after 50 posts your users will be able to post links freely without their urls changed to AdFly.

thanks webmaster9 for explaining. adf.ly is good for forums where members post plenty of links to external sites. this way you can make some money towards running your forum

as you can predict advert on every link can be annoying so that's where the mod helps to control when the links appear, by setting post count or user group settings

I will probably modify it further so you can set the mod per forum etc.

hi..installed,but why evreytime i click any link in my forum is still directly to the url without passing any adf.ly?what wrong?

so this works the same as www.viglink.com does? (except I get paid WAY more with viglink)

go to: http://adf.ly/?id=844139

then go: http://adf.ly/tools.php?fullpage

generate your full page script and copy it to the mod settings in your VB options under Options -> Adf.ly Mod

Code you need to copy looks something like that:

Just change example.com to your domain so your internat forum links are not redirected to adf.ly aswell. you can delete "'yoursite.com'," or leave it as it is, will work fine.

you can use both adf.ly and viglink. look at your stats in viglink account and write down domains where users click and you get no affiliation money. then generate full page script but include only domains which dont give you monet via vig link.

Just inlude all youtube links or rapidshare etc. This way you will be getting whatever you getting from viglink + some extra from adf.ly. Works like a charm on my site.

This is nothing like viglink or skimlinks.

With those when someone links to Amazon for example you get a percentage of the sale if someone buys something from Amazon.

With THIS instead of going to Amazon when someone clicks on a link they instead go to a page that shows them an advertisement and then they have to wait before they can actually go to amazon. You don't get paid for what they buy on Amazon, you merely get paid for showing them an advertisement.

That's why I DO NOT suggest using adf.ly for for well performing programs on viglink, amazon ebay etc. Just put their domains on exclude list in adf.ly script and you will avoid displaying adf.ly adds to links you are making money via viglink.

Why not just let the register link above normal?
With this, you have referrals and win based on what they earn well, for me that does not seem right, if it is to register, then just simply let the normal link, no?
Well it is an opinion and based on the hack, really good idea to add the adf.ly to vb.
