What is vBulletin-Entertain:

It's an addon which lets your forum users handle a entertainment center with kind of possibilities including cinema stream functions etc.

Installation:

- Upload all files from the 'upload' folder to your forum root via FTP.
- Import 'product-vbentertain.xml' in admicp.

After importing the product file you need to check the usergroup permissions first. Afterwards check out the general and the cinema settings, then go and create categories. When this is done you can import the 'default-radio-stations.xml' file in order to get some examples into your entertainment center.

If you want to, the cinema stream ist a special place for users in a seperate usergroup (even subscriped) where you can show special streams to those users like home movies etc.

You can also copy and paste complete players from other sites and use that embedded source code as a user defined player. In the cinema options you select the user defined player and disable switching the player for users. Then you can broadcast whatever you want in the way you want.

IMPORTANT:

The coder or any vBulletin releated site is not responsible for the content which is getting streamed with this addon. The coder delivers the addon only and neither the coder nor any vBulletin related site is broadcasting any content for it.

Please let me know bugs and also give me a feedback on this addon in order to improve it!

Would there be a way to get this working on 4.1.3??

Superb looking mod too

Vossi 10-05-2011 11:13 AM

Actually it should, as as the addon doesnt use any vB4.1.5+ concerned code like attachments, editor etc.

ProFifaLeagues 10-05-2011 11:17 AM

Just had a go but No joy Seems to install fine but no options or settings show up in the admin cp or usergroups to change??
Any ideas i could try

Vossi 10-05-2011 11:21 AM

doctorsexy 10-05-2011 11:22 AM

Playing around with the imported radio stations, very nice, thank you. :)

One error I've seen, though not a biggy, is the phrase for the Save Category button is broken (see attached)

Look forward to playing around with some different media types.

I suppose that this is caused by the search functions like adding a package while install. Hm... I'll see what I can do about it. Can you get a screenshot for me to find the location even better?

I am having exactly the same problem. Has he fixed it yet?

Vossi 10-06-2011 10:17 AM

Like I said before, its designed vor vBulletin 4.1.5 and higher. When it doesnt work with version below 4.1.5, then it must be because of the mainframe for the search as this addon supports vBulletin standard only.

There could be a version below 4.1.5 but then the search functions have to be nuked or changed in the actual version. I'm not sure if it's worth the work, as the actual version of vBulletin is quite stable and people should update anyhow ;)

Krusty1231 10-06-2011 01:17 PM

Nice - thanks.

Gemma 10-06-2011 06:26 PM

Disabled for the moment, after upgrading to vB 4.1.7 I'm getting this error at the top of Who's Online when this is enabled.

Would be great for those of us still on the lower Vbulletin mate if at all you can!
Looks a superb mad and one we would use alongside many others on lesser versions i would think

With the actual 4.1.7 or the beta? I was coding it on 4.1.7 beta and actually tested it with 4.1.8 beta 1 today; I didnt get any problems by now.

The lines shown in your post are responsible for resolving IPs, exactly its the ajax routine which gets to work when klicking the user IP at 'who is online'. The addon doesnt effect that part at all... ???

Actual 4.1.7, it could be conflicting with something else, I've been working through tons of parse errors since upgrading - but those errors are definitely only showing when vBulletin Entertain is enabled and only in Who's Online, no errors on the vBulletin Entertain page itself.

vb.help 10-07-2011 01:54 AM

works great with 4.1.7. can you post some example for cinema ?

Also please provide the vbseo site generator plugin ...

Ok i am also getting the above error when this mod is enabled . When this is disabled i do not get the above error with vb 4.1.7....

Vossi 10-07-2011 03:51 AM

Weird... did vB change something between beta 1 and release candidate? I'm going to check this as soon as I can download the official 4.1.7 release from vbGermany.com as I was using the 4.1.7 beta 1 local (I'm alphatester). Usually there's a delay of some days between the official and the german release...

Vossi 10-07-2011 04:30 AM

Okay, found the bug, I just uploaded Version 1.0.1 which is a bugfix release.

Just upload all the files and overwrite the old files, then import the product file (and overwrite the old one). Then the known bugs (WOL and DB) should be fixed.

OlijO 10-07-2011 06:29 AM

Hi Vossi, this is an excellent mod.

Could you help to add this radio to your product please ?

Regards,

RaptorJesus 10-07-2011 06:33 AM

Looks great, but why does the mediaplayer have to be WMV, Im trying to use Justin.tv or Twitch.tv. Other than that, good product

Gemma 10-07-2011 07:19 AM

The possibilities are quite big. Example: have a look at one of those sites where movies get shown as a stream. You could look at the source code (html) and check for the embedded souce. You copy and paste this part into you 'user defined' player at the cinema functions, select 'user defined' player for streaming and dont allow others to change the player. Et voila, the movie is yours, your forum users can watch them without like all the advertising like movie sites do contain ;)

vb.help 10-09-2011 03:59 AM

Ok. thanks. I tested and it is working ...

BTW, i have the typical two questions

Do you have the vbseo RR url's and sitemap generator add on for this mod ?
