The time has finally come! vbPlaza is back on vBulletin 4.

vbBux and vbPlaza is the ultimate all in one currency and store system for vBulletin that your members will love! You can award points for user activity on your forum which can then be spent in the vbPlaza or donated to another member.

Installed to test seeing as we've had a rash of vBux releases here lately and went to view a post resulting in a database error:

Did you have the vbPlaza v4.0 Beta 1 installed?
If you did, please fully uninstall that using the uninstall script I have included and install again.

Thanks for this. Are their any screen shots? Is this exactly as the old plaza? With the same features or is this a much lighter version? Also can it use other currencies?

First time install, testing of course ;).

Edit: Uninstalling then re-installing the same .xml sorted it, not sure why and makes it a odd one on me however working atm, all I needed to see :cool:.

what doesnt work with 4.1.5?? the install should i dont see anywhere in the xml about the max version, so what doesnt work in it, because i really want this installed, well i installed it anyhow

now i have a problem myself i cant change the permissions for who can change settings, i cant change them myself, my group is set to 7 not 6 btw

/marks install will this work with 4.1.6?

The story is, They gave full rights to re-edit it for ANYONE if i remember correctly, but I think it was already converted to 4.x cuz I've been using a copy of it on all my 4.x VB's...

Well that's a shame, I lost hope a long time ago of this being "resurrected". Hopefully I can find a backup of the database so I don't have to start again.

Having trouble with the ribbons and the gifts though. I set the cost and usergroup permissions for each ribbon and each gift and when I go to the plaza and click give ribbon (or gift) I get the error "vBulletin Message
The item you are trying to purchase is not found.."

How do I fix this?

Took 3 uninstall/reinstalls of the product file but its working. Nominated for MOTM :)

Is there a way to Have this system run off of the VBExperience points if you also have that installed?
If not its ok. I removed the experience points out of postbit to avoid confusion.

Ok another Q. You can purchase songs for profile. You need the song url... Is there any particular place these can be pulled from? Any specific format/url type etc to get this to work? Do yu have an example url that works with it?

How do u organize the songs in your profile to select which one plays first? This was an ability on the other one..is it still possible

I got that message too barakuda. I had to go to admin cp and manually set the usergroup settings for each item and category before I could use it.

You need to go into usergroups and set to allow. Everything is set to deny via default.





Any plans to support other currency types? Be great to see this work with Facebook credits.

Again i'd like to say thank you for this great modification, as i did it with a small paypal donation yet. 'cause you offer this mod for free i saved a lot of money ;)

My focus is on the gifting feature, that i know from a german social community and want to realize on my board.
Let me do some suggestions/wishes for future versions and let me show you how i know this feature, maybe there are some aspects that are interesting for us too

- I don't like the small dropdown list you did where i can purchase the gifts. It would be
better if you would do this like you did it in other parts. I know it like this:

- In my opinion the graphics you have chosen as gifts are much!! too small even for the postbit. Ok i know i can take bigger graphics. But my suggestion is that in the postbit are used small versions and bigger ones anywhere else. I can show you which size is used in the version i know for the "postbit" or rather for the profile overview in this case:

- My biggest wish would be, that you can make it possible to define a schedule for a gift.
e.g. Gift A is only available on a special day, or only at a special time each day or maybe available for only 2 weeks etc...as limited gifts ;)

I haven't seen anyone in the thread who's had this problem, so I'll go ahead and ask.

Also it should be known that I'm a complete noob at this, so bare with me, lol.

When I upload the files, then attempt to upload the xml file, it just stays on "Importing Product, please wait....." and never completes the upload.

Has anyone had a similar problem, or have any idea what I've done wrong?
