CMX gave us special permission to allow us to release this vbplaza mod on here

so anyone can fix it if they want

enjoy

this mod allows you to buy things using vbcredit, like change username, steal someone credits and much more

I'm not seeing permission of this posted anywhere on CMX's site, his last post as of today via a search as a guest on his site was 09-08-2011 @ 03:19 AM. I do not see it posted in the thread on his site I linked to either?

Basically, the errors are saying none of those tables exist. They should have been created upon import. I won't have an opportunity to test this, but I would be interested to know if anyone else had this error.

Are you the only one having this problem, that you know of? Have you looked at all the documentation that came with the mod? Like I said, I won't be able to test it out. But make sure you've followed any special instructions that came with the modification.

Attached is a "VB Plaza Fix" file I put together... It does 1 thing and 1 thing only- creates the "missing" table people are complaining about.

It creates the table specified in this post.

It will only create the table. Uninstalling will NOT remove the table, you will have to do that manually.

I am releasing this without support or even a promise of ANY KIND.

I STRONGLY SUGGEST NO ONE EVEN ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THIS MOD ON A LIVE FORUM. THIS MOD IS A TOTAL MESS AND SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN RELEASED. IT IS NOT FINISHED. IF YOU DON'T HAVE PHP AND MYSQL CODING ABILITY YOU SHOULD RUN, NOT WALK, AWAY FROM THIS MOD.

That said, if you are still reading and simply need the table vbplaza_user_history created, install the attached xml file like any other product.

I will answer no questions about this- if it ruins your forum it is your fault, not mine. My first suggestion is to completely ignore this mod, not attempt to install this "fix."

And to add to that, there are a lot of COMPLETED points modifications available here on vb.org.

No, we want you to uninstall this mod and not use it. The developer didn't finish this for a reason- and the staff is not here to fix poorly developed mods.

Uninstall and delete this mod, it just doesn't work.

It is your choice to install and use that mod and therefore it is your responisbility. But if you are not able to fix this yourself, have you considered hiring someone to look into this for you rather than spamming the whole forum with the same posts? Otherwise wait patiently until someone helps you in the forums. But do not keep continuing posting the same stuff over and over again as it is getting irritating and annoying.

So far as I know these items are true...

1) vBPlaza was a commercial product.
2) vBPlaza has been unsupported since at least 2009 (I think)
3) This is an UPGRADE to the original vBPlaza NOT a full fresh install.

So why is it even posted here?

To make it work, someone would need a copy already installed on their system. What is posted here is not for fresh installs. And asking someone to make it work is like asking to go to mars for a vacation. Because of the time involved, I doubt it will happen without some cash investment.

No I cannot because even if I did make it there will probably be 10 more errors you'll find once this is done and I do not have the time nor desire to fix someone else's mod. I did take a quick look at this mod and it is easily the biggest and needlessly complicated mod I ever saw for vBulletin. When it was made they didn't want anyone changing it because it was a commercial product and it shows. It is NOT coder-friendly at all.

Give up on this mod, the author already did.

No, that's not it at all. The staff here at vb.org aren't supposed to maintaince mods, just the website. If you were looking for someone to fix the modification, I'm afraid you're just going to have to wait for someone who actually knows how, and who has the time to do it. BirdOPrey posted that patch, but like he said, the mod should have never been released, as it's buggy.

Any reason you can't just go with another points mod, like vBCredits. Way better mod in my opinion.
