Javascript Countdown on Forumhome
1 Attachment(s)
History:
Today i bring another smart and simple to customize javascript mod. What is Javascript Countdown on Forumhome: It is an very customizable countdown timer that will count down to the date and time you set it at, with features such as
-STEP 1- Download the attached install file (product-boydy_js_countdown.xml) and upload into admincp -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product. Remember to select Allow Overwrite. -STEP 2- Go into admincp -> Options -> [Boydy]Forumhome Javascript Countdown and enter all the relevant settings and change the colour's if you like! And that's it! Be sure to check out the screenshots below. If you install this and for future updates and support please remember to mark as installed! Also feel free to nominate :) Cheers! |
Reserved.

anyway this can be set within forum sections as well?
|
Thank you! Rated and nominated.
|
it didn't work.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '%' in /hosts/audi.....com/http/includes/class_core.php(4464) : eval()'d code on line 10 |
I've installed on 4.1.4 and 4.1.5 and cannot re-produce this error, can you tell me which version of VB you have and when the error is coming up?
Thanks |

Is the error coming up whilst installing or once the mod is installed and all settings input?
EDIT: Can you also try disabling all your other mods and trying it out as i cannot re-produce that error at all. |
Is there a way you could make this in to a widget and be able to disable it on the Forumhome ? so that you could have a countdown in a widget and maybe a changable image background ?
Thanks in advance................Paul |

The widgets are the blocks on the vBulletin CMS https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/cont...151-How-To-CMS
|
Ah ok, well i do not currently have the full package, i only use the forums :(
|
Works great on 4.1.5. Make sure you check overwrite when you're uploading the product (like it says) or it will not show up.
Thanks. |
So Great, i't work on vbb 4.1.2
If now i want to display Countdown Bar in Footer or anywhere, you can help me? |
Thanks! Just what I needed and it works really well. Previously I had the tedious job of modifying templates with dates every week the rugby league team my forum is about played (counting down till their next game). This will make it heaps easier.
My only suggestion would be the ability to add text after the countdown - eg. 3 weeks, 2 days, UNTIL ... whatever. :) |
Uninstalled, did not work on 4.1.7
|
Perfekt Job - Thx
Works on 1sta.de MOTN - Logo :) |

It works, but needs some enhancements:
- the words (Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds) should be phrases so we can translate. - We want it in sidebar block Thanks,, |
It's working on 4.2, but shouldn't this be upgraded ?
Regards,, |
Does not work on v4.2.0 for many other users...
|
Working very well on 4.2 PL2
Easy as 123 |
explain how please... many users are not seeing it after uploading the xml...
|
Just standard up load XML file and then In settings make sure you set your Dates and time.
I can only think it would run into an issue if there is many changes to the Forum home template but Even on my Custom styles I have no Issues at all. If you need me to pop in and take a look your more then welcome to pm me Details Sir. |
Thank you very much, installed on 4.2 PL2 and it works like should.
I only wish that we had the option to change the font size. |
Trainings Start nach der Sommerpause, NaN Days, NaN Hours, NaN
NAN ????? Edit: Alles OK 19:00 = 07:00 PM ^^ |
Sorry for the late reply been busy... yes this works but you have to set the proper dates in the settings or nothing will show...
|
Is there a way to have more than one event counting down? Or once an event starts, the next one begins? I run poker tournaments every day and have been looking for a countdown timer.
|
Installed on 4.2 with no problems. Exactly what I was looking for .. thanks :)
|

|
