CKeditor - Bug 100%!
Hello All,
I Dont No Whats The Error But This is a Serious Matter After All... The CKeditor Always Disappears After 1 Day Of A My New VB Installation, I Dont Understand Whats The Problem With It? As It Gives A Blank Editor with no tools or anything. http://lulzimg.com/i24/66cd72.png http://lulzimg.com/i24/302ca2.png This is Really Very Disappointing I Would Request The VB Staff TO Look into this ASAP! |
1. you may be missing sprite.png image from editor folder for a skin.
2. Open Settings -> message posting interface options -> enable standard toolbar if that doesn't fix, then go to maintenance -> run query Select Show Standard toolbar and click on continue (2 times). |
Create a new style with no parent:

@Sherif - Tried Both Of Your Steps... Still No Change! :(
@Lynne - Tried Your Method Too... Yet No Change! :( |
Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php PHP Code:

Just Was Reading Threads on VB.CoM and Saw This.. but still no change even after trying this :(
Test User Code:

Did you forget to copy the sprite.png file to the custom style editor folder?

You seem to be missing the images for your custom bbcode buttons. But that probably isn't anything to do with the problem because I see all the editor controls.
Edit: I did notice that sometimes files are not found and instead I got a redirect to an error404.php. That happened with some of the .css files, but I refreshed and they were found. If you're getting that happening occasionally, that could be your problem. When this happens to you, have you tried forcing a reload of the page (including cached items)? |
Hmmm... I Have Tried Lots Of Stuff and By Mistake things have become ok! even i dont no how i did it though... thanks to some of my frnz, hope the ckeditor is wworking awesome now!
Please Leave me a feedback.. |
Chances are my123world can be equally assisted by the solution from this thread:
https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...=1#post2170134 I had the same problem, and it solved the issue. Basically, you're probably using a custom theme, which has a separate folder for the editor images. As such, those are different from the new editor, and a brute force fix is to simply copy all the buttons/images from images/editor into your theme's 'editor' folder. I wish there were a way to revert to the prior editor, as this 'new' editor has also broken a bunch of other plugins' functionality. The lack of QC testing by vB devs, lately, is bordering on extreme frustration, though I doubt that will change, sadly (exasperated sigh!) |
The link you posted is no good.
