1 Attachment(s)
Description: Peeling corner on your vBulletin? Version 4.1.4 4.xx Tested 4.1.12
There are two zip files below to download, one is pleel back.zip & pleel down.zip you just need to download one of them to use. pleel down.zip makes the corner of the page rollover like it's bending. pleel back.zip makes the corner of the page slide straight down with no rolling over. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download and unzip peel bsck.zip or pleel down.zip to your desktop. You can edit the jpg images to suit your site.... 1. Search in peel.js for the following url line: Code:
http://www.tonyprez.net 2. Upload the following peel folder to your directory example http://YOURDOMAIN.COM/peel/ 1.peel.js 2.small.jpg 3.small.swf 4.large.jpg 5.large.swf 3. In your header template, add this code to the bottom: Code:
<script src="peel/peel.js" type="text/javascript"></script> Now, your done. Hit refresh page to view results. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Demo is using the pleel down.zip one. Demo: www.speedaholic.net |

Thank you so much for marking installed! To edit the corner image on my site all I did was to edit the large.jpg and re-drop it back into the FTP client to override the originallarge.jpg... You can edit the Small.jpg image and override the existing image, as well to suit your site. 73X73 https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2011/07/41.jpg For example: Original large.jpg 500x500 https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2011/07/41.jpg Example: My edited large.JPG 500x500 to suit my site https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2011/07/41.jpg If you don't have the software to edit the image, just go to this link and ask someone to edit the photo for you... ...thnx...installled and nominated ;) ....

Very nice, is there away to stop the moving arrow? Like just have it show the page kinda flipping down so the user will notice it.

Upload the small.swf to your directory and override it. Upload the large.swf to your directory and override it. You can experiment on which one you would like to have role back or just peel. |
how did you do the mirror image on your site cause that makes it look so much better

It looks great but is not working on my custom template

This is a very simple edit to your header template and should work as you see I have a custom layout in my demo. Maybe you just need to put the code at the bottom of your footer, try that and see if it works for you. |
will this work on earlier vb like 4.0.7?

I edited the large.jpg pix and keep the small.jpg pix, then uploaded to the peel folder that is resided in the forum folder. The original large.jpg pix did not go away and the new large.jpg pix never shown up. I wonder I have to edit the .swf and .fla files for it to work! Any directions are greatly appreciated. I really like this page corner peel. If it is possible to make it an independent module that can be used any where as wished ... like picture albums for example. Thank you very much for this Page Corner Peel. Victor |

I were able to make this work! I think I can fix the location of the peel as well. If this can make it works for 4 corner peel! This would be awesome! |

I will try to work on this more, I have family with me intill 7/28 so its hard to run to the computer. lol |
One question please!
If the forum is in a folder ie: www.domain.com/folder where should we upload the peel folder for the mod to work? |
you have to upload into /folder, only you have to edit the .js -if I don't mistake- and put in the line "/folder/peeler/" .... I wanna suppose....
|
I installed it and worked and when I replaced the image it stopped working.
After some tests I noticed that sometimes it works sometimes does not. Is there any possibility that there is any conflict with some mods? |
you have to rename it... large or small.... because it works with the .fla and .swf -I wanna suppose- try with this and then told us about how it went :)
|
I reuploaded the files again and no does not work. Before one hour it worked.
When I change the large.jpg wih a new one of diferrent size it stopped working. I dod not know what I am doing wrong. |
edit the .js file and change the size for the image ok :D try with this or wait to Rideharder :D
|
I think I will make a video to show how it works.
I will do that tonight. Thanks so much nacaruncr for trying to help.. Example if you upload all the files to the correct folder and put the code link in the header and everything seems to work then you're on the right track the only thing that will need to change would be your large and small image just replace it by dragging and dropping it into your FTP. One other person mentioned they're having an issue I'm waiting for the login information to try to pinpoint if it's clashing with a mod. It's really a simple file and I really don't think it should be clashing with anything. But like that old saying anything's possible. |

I hope the Video helped you peoples! lol

He uploaded the files not to the public directory but to the fourm directory. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay I think I know why it's not working for FReeSTER He uploaded the files not to the public directory but to the fourm directory. In that case the code line below in the .peel.js might need to be changed for example: <script src="peel/peel.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="fourm/peel/peel.js" type="text/javascript"></script> and the peel.js for example" jaaspeel.small_path = 'fourm/peel/small.swf'; jaaspeel.small_image = escape('fourm/peel/small.jpg'); jaaspeel.big_path = 'fourm/peel/large.swf'; jaaspeel.big_image = escape('fourm/peel/large.jpg'); Anyways you should get the point now. I will keep you guys updated on the outcome of this. I will change the directions above if this fixes the issue for him. |
