Major Features:

Bounced Mail Handling: Once configured, it will (if so desired) automatically track and handle bounced mail. Alternatively, you can manually handle bounced mail if you so wish.

Automatic "Unsubscribe" Link Creation: If the user receiving the mail has access to unsubscribing, a secure link to unsubscribe themselves from the mailing list will be automatically added to the bottom of the mail. It does not require the user to be logged in, so it complies with spam policies set forth by mail providers.

Mail History: Each past sent mail can be viewed at any time from the front-end.

Advanced Subscription Management: Users can quickly and easily (un)subscribe from the mailing list via the mailing list directory, or the admin can manually change the subscription status in the AdminCP.

Bounced Mail Threshold: When an admin-configured number of mails bounce from the same email address, the user is automatically removed from mailing lists and all other email-related vBulletin features, and notified via PM what happened to their account, as well as directions to change their email addresses.

Complete Feature List (Lite)
  • Mailing List Directory
    • List all mailing lists
    • Links to send mail / view mail history / (un)subscribe
    • Unsubscription stats
  • Send Mail
    • Uses the full editor in vBulletin
    • Works with 4.1.4's CKEditor
    • Uses vBulletin's Mail Queue system to avoid overloading servers / avoid "maximum mails per hour" server restrictions
  • Mail History
    • Displays a list of all mail from that mailing list
    • View the mail in full HTML
    • Unsubscription stats
  • (Un)subscribe
    • One-click to add or remove from a mailing list
  • AdminCP
    • Create unlimited mailing lists with per-list usergroup permissions
    • Create keywords for people to subscribe to
    • View list of bounced mail
    • Prune list of bounced mail
    • Permissions for who can view unsubscription stats
  • Scheduled Tasks
    • Hourly collection of bounced mail
    • Hourly checks for number of bounces above the threshold

Complete Feature List (Pro)
  • Send Mail
    • Subscribe to an external mailing list via the vBulletin Sidebar (vB4 only)
    • Override SMTP settings per mailing list
  • AdminCP
    • Ability to create External mailing lists, powered by emails not found in vBulletin user accounts
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This mod displays a copyright notification in the footer of pages generated by this mod which includes:
  • 1 Link to DragonByte Technologies homepage
  • 1 Link to Product Description page of this modification

I was considering using this mod, until I saw that part of the copyright info. in the footer includes some sort of an affiliate link to Hivelocity.

HTML Code:

Copyright &copy; {$year} <a href="http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com" target="_blank">DragonByte Technologies Ltd</a>.  Runs best on <a href="http://www.hivelocity.net/?utm_source=Iain%2BKidd&utm_medium=back%2Blink&utm_term=Dedicated%2BServer%2BSponsor&utm_campaign=Back%2BLinks%2Bfrom%2BIain%2BKidd" target="_blank">HiVelocity Hosting</a>.
Looked like a nice mod though. :)

DragonByte Tech 07-10-2011 04:09 PM

Nothing stopping you from removing the affiliate link, you'll need to leave the links to Dragonbyte Tech intact though :)

Well, I tend to be pretty careful about copyrights. :) I did not want to remove anything and then be accused of.. whatever.

You may want to include this info in the download / main post - it's within an area in the template where it mentions the copyright should not be changed or removed. So like myself, others may not realize it is not a requirement for that particular part.

DragonByte Tech 07-11-2011 12:17 PM

We'll update our descriptions stating what you can and can't remove in the future :)

Did not want to be a pain Fillip, just thought others would like to know as well. I see that you've added it now, thanks :)

Post Reader 08-03-2011 10:44 PM

i have to disable all my hooks due to this error because when ever i try to un install this product it makes all my styles with white pages having ugly texts showing up

DragonByte Tech 08-03-2011 11:08 PM

That error is impossible unless you have edited either /dbtech/vbmail/hooks/init_startup.php or /dbtech/vbmail/includes/specialtemplates.php.

Please try uploading a fresh copy of all files.

There is no mention of vBMail in those error messages so I'm unsure why you think they're related :)

Please upgrade to vBulletin 3.8.4 or newer, as that was fixed in that version: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...3.8.4-Released

In addition, open those two files and find =& new and replace with = new - that'll silence the errors :)

If I activate the addon, the vBadvanced CMPS index will not in function. maybe a conflict?

And how we can remove Bounced Mail List log if we have more than 10.000 log line?
---I'll upgrade to pro 1yeah, pls confirm.

DragonByte Tech 12-01-2012 08:33 PM

The first two items are not possible at this time, sorry.

You can prune the scheduled task log by using the "Prune Scheduled Task Log" feature :)

Our forum is having a lot of issues with email notifications being blocked by various large email providers (gmail, AOL, bellsouth.net, etc.) If I understand, is that was this mod does - help avoid email from being blocked or marked as spam? Thanks.

DragonByte Tech 03-10-2013 04:17 PM

No, it doesn't. This mod will help you handle emails that bounce, and help you send out mailing list emails to users.
