what's the correct rss url to put in the options?
I have tried http://www.myboard.com/external.php?type=RSS2 and got an error |
See developer notes about RSS feeds.
If your forum is heavily modified, there is a conflicting third party modification, I haven't figured out which one yet. If you find out let me know |
Awesome modification! I'm using ForumSlider too!!!! I'm considering getting Ultimate, Thanks Dave
Works perfectly. |
Nice work,, thanks
Thanks :)
I like how you can use other rss feeds from other sites. I'm currently using my wordpress rss feed to drive traffic to the home page from forums. Nice way to connect both
Updated :)
What's updated?
The javascript shouldn't produce an error
i have installed and add url http://www.xitclub.com/external.php?type=RSS2 but not working
Getting this at the top of my pages:
Warning: MagpieRSS: Failed to fetch http://creativx.net/forums/external....S2&forumids=58 (Request timed out after 5 seconds) in [path]/news_box/magpierss/rss_fetch.inc on line 238 |
I have the Ultimate version purchased and installed on my forum. Please enable post to be pull from CMS, RSS, and Thread just like the Forum slider you updated.
It doesn't make sense for side to be pull from just 1 Rss feed. |
Good idea but doesn't see anything on the right side ;-).
BTW: I can't see it here, also: http://forum-skins.com/forum/forum.php surfing with chrome |
is this product dead? specially the pro one, it not there any more !!
will this work for forum of vb 4.2
Yes, this is still working on 4.2.1 Mark Zuckerberg
Did you try it Mark?
WOuld you elaborate the process after uploading the content and product and making the right setting of RSS? Do we need to do any extra step?
1. Upload files to ftp past "upload files" according to file structure
2. Install .xml 3. Pick rss feed. Check rss feed in browser to make sure it works. Not all rss feeds will work properly. 4. Done. |
Tested and still works with 4.2.x
is there a demo of this working somewhere?
I believe Mick is using it:
