Check the installation instructions; you seem to have missed the last step.

HellRZR 05-12-2011 05:33 PM

Yes sir that was it, my bad sorry

HellRZR 05-12-2011 05:42 PM

My website is in French, which template do I need to modify for wording.

HellRZR 05-12-2011 05:49 PM

Nevermind, found it. :)

HellRZR 05-12-2011 06:01 PM

I was testing funconality and now have 2 user with the following :

Pending Subscription 1 paid_registration_pending_1305225110...il_address.com 12-05-2011 12-05-2011 0
Pending Subscription 2 paid_registration_pending_1305225867...il_address.com

Is it safe to delete these users?

This is important; check the frequently asked section.

By the way, you do not need to edit templates if your site is in french. Use the language and phrase manager.

I disabled your mod to test other functionality, however, now when I go to the subscription page, none of my subscriptions are showing up and they are still all defined.

Yes, I reverted everything back to the way it was prior to installing your mod.

Please advise...

Can you explain a bit more? Not showing up where?

HellRZR 05-12-2011 06:56 PM

In usercp/settings on the left side menu there is a link to Paid Subscriptions link, when you selected this option the available subscriptions showed up. or if you went to domain.com/payments.php they showed up there as well.

I removed your mod, reloaded the unmodified resgiter.php and changed back the permission settings for the subscriptions.

Now in both places the subscriptions do not show up.

I was able to reproduce this. Import the default style and the problem will be resolved.

Working on a permanent fix now. Thanks for reporting! :)

The cause of it is the fact that the modification overrides default templates with a newer version. It should not delete the default template with an older version when the modification is removed; this will be resolved soon.

Need your help on this, I only have one style on my site and since I am new to this I modified the default style with all my changes. So I can import the default style as it will overwrite all that I have modified. What do you suggest?

Save your modified templates locally, import the default style, and paste/re-apply the template changes from the local files?

HellRZR 05-12-2011 08:21 PM

Thank you once again for the help, that fixed it, will continue testing and report what I find.

If you are using an older version of vB4 like one that does not have facebook connect built in, there will only be one instance to add below. Adding this to the FAQ; thanks. :)

It sounds promising. I'm tagging this one to check it.

Request: Possibility to get paid not for registering but to post on certain forum IDs.

cbiweb 05-13-2011 10:08 PM

I want new members to have to pay before they can read any posts, which means they have to pay during the registration process. Does this mod work that way?

Great work. Is there a vBulletin 3.8x version in the plans?

Pfffftttt.... who still uses that (3.8.x) lol. Just joking. I hope the coder considers a 3.8 version.

vbresults 05-13-2011 11:56 PM

vB3 support will come if there is enough demand, and only after the 4.x version is stable.

In 4.1.3 it should be on line 375.

Makes sense. :)

Hopefully there are a few more of us "old timers" using 3.8x that need this LOL

Hello,

This sounds perfect for my requirements, just a few questions please.

I use a custom sytle and not default style, will it work with a custom style?

Can guests still browse without logging in based on the preset conditions I have put in for non registered and unlogged in users??

I want to allow a 7 day limited access (no cost) to give people a chance to see certain sections of the website without having to pay, can I still do this.

Lastly I am planning on replacing the index.php file with a custom front log in page that has links to various membership options, I assume I can then link them to this subscription page

Sorry if some of the questions seem a bit stupid I am a complete technical idiot

thanks in advance for the help

vbresults 05-14-2011 01:41 PM

Yes, it will work with a custom style. If your paid subscription templates were altered, apply the changes to the equivalent template in the LancerForHire - Paid Registration Templates >> template group.

If you have a modification in place that provides trial functionality already, yes, you can still do it. Trial functionality is not included in this modification, though. The closest thing you can do out of the box is create a 7-day non-recurring subscription that costs 99 cents.

Yes, you can create a custom landing page with the different membership options and link to the ordering page. You will need someone experienced to do this, though.

You are no idiot; the only idiots are the ones that do not read the FAQs & Notes, and then ask a question that has already been answered.

You're welcome. :)

Mark4865 05-14-2011 05:05 PM

Hello Lancerforhire

Thanks for quick response and get feedback. My paid subscription templates may have been altered to include extra payment options (we have a direct deposit option and Paygate which is a South-Africa payment system) I will have to speak to the guy who programmed it to see what needs to be done as my technical skills are not great.

We have already created a full custom landing page with links which just need to be linked up and I have someone who can help me with that. The biggest problem seems to be the 7 day trail issue, is there any way to run some sort of promotion or somehting via VB to allow people that 7 days restricted viewing membership for free?? What is the story with guests and people not logged in, can they see things as per there pre-set permissions?

thanks once again for the advice and help much appreciated, this mod seems like it could be perfect for me.

vbresults 05-15-2011 04:25 PM

You will need to open a request in the unpaid modifications section for that; it is beyond the scope of this product.

Mark4865 05-15-2011 07:15 PM

Sorry stupid question, you mean for the 7 day trial issue or as it effects guests and people not logged in??

vbresults 05-15-2011 09:20 PM

The 7-day trial issue. As for the other question, this modification does not directly affect anything outside of the registration script so it should not interfere with permissions.
