Settings Disappeared..!?
I have been having some issues the past week, but it seems like i got them all worked out, except i noticed the "Settings" link next to "My Profile" is not there anymore..!?
I have disabled mods to see if it would come back, but it has not. Unless it is part of vB4.1.3 i don't know what could be causing it.? Not really that big of a deal, since people can still access the UserCP from the drop down of "Forum Actions" but still seems weird that its gone. lol Anyone have any experience with that.? |
Create a new style with no parent:

No its style specific, but it was there last week. lol
Like i said i disabled any recently added mods, but that didn't change anything. :( What template controls that area.? Maybe i made some edits to that template. |
That should be the header template.
|
I dont see anything that i added recently.. (maybe i deleted something on accident when i was "tinkering" recently, but i dont recall)
Here is everything in the Header Template: HTML Code:
<div class="above_body"> <!-- closing tag is in template navbar --> |
When you go to edit your template, click View History > Compare in order to compare it to another version. Or, click Show Default and then copy both yours and the default into a text editor and compare them.
|
I'll try that.. thanks. :)

1 Attachment(s)
For the first half (only 1st half) of each template there are 2 slight differences, but i have no idea if that is just skin/style stuff or issues. (differences noted in red. :))
I guess i could've just copied the text & made it red, but M$ Paint seemed easier. lol https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1305074857 ----------------------------------------------------------------- https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1305074857 |

Then identical all the way to the bottom of both.. (is there anything i should be worried about posting in public.?)

It looks like it should be there. This is the line:
HTML Code:
<li><a href="usercp.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">{vb:rawphrase user_control_panel}</a></li> |
I had this issue on one custom template this is what i did... not sure if this will resolve your issue or not but u can try it if you want.
adminCP -> Styles and templates -> Style manager -> Edit templates (from drop down) -> Header (scroll down) In here you can see the code for the header. Click on 'Show default', this will open another window. Copy that code from that windows and paste it into the previous window. Click save. hope this helps. |

Username - admin password - 1234 Not really an admin, just a name. :) But let me know if you need more access. Thanks Quote:
That will just remove everything i've done & basically revert it back to default. & if i wanted to revert it back to default i would just revert it back to default. ;) |
It's there, but the phrase is incorrect. This is what you have:
<li><a href="usercp.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">{vb:rawphrase control_panel}</a></li> |

HTML Code:
<li><a href="usercp.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">{vb:rawphrase user_control_panel}</a></li> Or should i try to copy from the default.? |
one says control_panel, the other says user_control_panel
Put them one after another in a text editor and you'll see. |
Awesome.!!
I added "user_" & the settings link came back.!! Thanks a million Lynne. :D I wonder is that a mistake they made when they "upgraded" the skin to 4.1.3, or something else.? Also i have another issue, but i'll start a new thread. :) |
I have no idea why the mistake was made.
|
IIRC, they were basically the same phrase and they decided to get rid of the duplicate one that wasn't being used.
