havent really had a chance to use the CMS for over a year, but would this help me with a site i am working on - where the front page needs to be a 3 column layout and the article page is 2 columns?

vividbreeze 04-06-2011 02:37 AM

wish we can have something like 2 columns and then when you scroll down it can turn into like 3 or 4 columns....is this possible?

elwachiman 04-07-2011 11:37 PM

demo please

I don't install anything vb related without a working demo anymore. Can somebody post a link of these grids in action?

pizzamargherita 04-08-2011 03:49 PM

I see that you can crate custom layout... isn't possible to set up fixed width at least to one column as well as the sidebar?
This will solve one of my bigger problems with vb cms...

Sometimes those who release free work may not see the need to put themselves through more work no matter if it's screenshots or other, not sure about this author simply stating the obvious and as Brandon pointed out w/ his wit... that's quite a bit to demo. Now from another perspective we could say a demo or screenshot should be included with all modifications no matter what (to a point per say) however we won't play both sides here and now it's trivial truly if you take into consideration you have the ability to test yourself.

Long story short anyone can create a clone/demo forum, a testvb installation which is allowed per the license agreement and you can test any and every modification released to your hearts content without fear of damaging or hindering your live/production site and it saves you from typing out "Demo Please" on every other mod w/o one .

Thank you very much for the work and creativity.

Great Work!

K4GAP 01-07-2012 05:55 PM

I've been trying to touch up my site and right now the only grid I have is the "Two Columns + Sidebar (25%, 75%, 240px)"

What I need is for the left column to be the same as the right side sidebar (240px). Any suggestions on how I can accomplish this? ie, (240px, 100%, 240px).

Thanks for any help'

K4GAP 01-11-2012 02:52 AM

Lynne replied on another post with the following solution...

Thanks for the grids...I needed a few more :-)

Energypac 04-02-2012 01:06 PM

Got anymore grids, I need a 100% 240px overtop of
(25/75) widget -primary content with the 240px to be able to run top to bottom. See tmp dump for an example. https://tmpdmp.com/d2490f00fae4a360/d5b39b0d14cebc80 While we're asking, I could use another one that is basically the same as the one above except 100% primary content on second line with the 240px to be able to run top to bottom
Thanks
