What is this
this product should help you remove the clutter when users quote long posts and their images. It simply replaces all quoted images with links

New in version 1.2
Now with admin options so you can change the regular expressions easily. (see attached screenshot)

Installation
simply import the attached file as new product:
AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

What it does
when a user replies with quotes, the plugins replace the [IMG] and [VIDEO] in the quoted text with [url] using regular expressions:

The regular expression that are used can be configured in the admin options.

Compatibility
Since this product only uses two hooks (newreply_post_quote and newreply_quote) it should work on any VB version that supports those hooks. Be aware that other plugins that also rewrite quotes with those hooks might conflict with this product. (Simply test yourself)

How to add more replacements
Go to Admin -> Options -> Quote Improvements and add this as new line in the regular expression field:
This will replace any "BLA" with "BLUB" in quotes.

it does not affect anything except images right now.

I ment a auto replacment in reply. From embed to url. Like this mod for IMG

just added support for replacing [video] to [url] as well as requested :)

I already have url's implemented from another mod, could I use this just with video?

the mod is intended to work on any 4.x installations. We never said its 3.x compatible :-\

maybe you could change the hooks and it could work again?

i have no 3.x installation for testing atm

This mod is not compatible with the youtube automatic parser, is there a way of fixing it?

I've edited this mod so the quoted pictures will display as thumbnails rather than links. Hopefully this is no problem for you. Personal use only.

Doesn't seem to work in 4.2.4 beta 1. No errors but images still show up in quoted text. Any ideas?
