Vbulletin Banner Question
 

Ive attached a picture. Basically I am trying to find what it is I need to edit to change a few things. Ive got a banner I am using and I got it installed with no problem, I just have 2 formatting questions.

1. How do I get rid of that blue box surrounding the Notifications?
2. the right margin being off by a hair.....how do I sort that?

did you just overwrite the title image from VB. ?

The way to do what you want is to make that image your header background image. not the title image, to do that goto admincp>>style & templates>>styles manager<<>>stylevars>>header>>header background>> it will have the margin offsets there upload image to images/misc/ then
use this code paste that into it and set the option

now with all that said if your title image will still need a image in it or it will show a red x
so upload a transparent gif of a period or something that will hide the red x

well it kinda worked. Now the image is only have displayed....like the banner is too big? Have a look!

and the notifications bit still looks the same :(

ive corrected the banner issue however I still have that box around the notifications.....any thoughts? Btw thanks very much for your help/time!

I think that header has boarder options in that same area im sure or it has to be fixed

what was wrong with the banner I had?

So now I use that new banner here: header background

and the invisible image here: titleimage

yep it had a border on it where it had been worked on, yep banner in header banner and the invisible in title image

oh also u will have to have a number in those off set margin settings
like 0 and you will have it no-repeat

oh i see well you use that offset setting to move the banner to fit the screen, and the notice will have to be changed in another setting to transparent so it doesn't show when you get a pm and the pic will have to be sized to so it fits the banner size hole

try horizontal offset 40 the height isn't as important as the width as far as resizing

heres the deal the advertiseing in vb has two spots up there and if you use it with the way you had it using the title image as a banner it will be useless, so first lets try and get rid of that default vb title image by uploading the new invisable.png i gave you. you can either go into style var and replace it there , or just rename it it logo.png and upload it to images/misc/ we should do the banner adjustment with that title image changes because it takes up space that will change again when you take the default image out
