For the replacement code (taken from their page source):
HTML Code:

<div style="border: 1px solid rgb(255, 0, 0); color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(245, 255, 255); padding: 5px;" class="contentnote"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent; font-weight: bold;">Warning:</span> {param}</div>

yep the bbcode is correct but, it doesn't stop anyone from using it I think they wanted permissions added somehow to allow only mods and admins to use this bbcode and as you see it allows all

He said he wanted exactly like the screen shot, so I posted exactly what was in the screenshot. He's gonna need some mod to make it only mod/admin specific.

your the bomb lynne, I'm not aware of any mods in here that will do what they want. thanks , at least they have the bbcode now anyway, i would suggest that they just dont use the option to show it, then make it a phrase only the mods and admin know what it is like [snicklefrits]warning blah blah blah[/snicklefrits] then people wont be able to use it , would be secret until someone tells user like below example

Example: [snicklefrits]warning blah blah blah..!![/snicklefrits]
Description: -Empty-
Use Option: No
Button Image: No
Remove Tag If Empty: Yes
Disable BB Code Within This BB Code: No
Disable Smilies Within This BB Code: No
Disable Word Wrapping Within This BB Code: No

Users will easily figure it out just by quoting. I'd just write a plugin that makes it so the bbcode doesn't get implemented unless a mod/admin uses it. So, it would just show the bbcode if someone else tried to use it. Or, actually just remove all the code if it's not a mod/admin. A couple of ways you can do it.

where would the hook location be lynne?

I haven't looked into it at all. you'd need a few - one for processing when using the ajax Quick Reply, and others for using the Post Reply and also the New Thread.

If I may, this will work with one minor correction:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=122942

I have tested it out on admin permission then as a regular member.

This being the minor correction:

It does for me. I am using the BB Code being talked about in this thread and was looking for a way to make it only for staff as well, when I came across this.

I tried the whole [ warning ] as a regular member and it came out just as that.
