Nice style but I seem to have alot of issues. Logo and status icons are not showing, magnifying glass for the search button is missing and the side bar is not collapsible. Just noticed the go to last post image is missing also.
|
You obviously have not uploaded the smoothred image directory to the correct location.
your images should be located at images/smoothred. So your images should be uploaded to bluegrassminis.com/images/smoothred. There should not be ANY issues as there are very few template edits and it's mostly stylevar and css changes that wouldn't affect functionality. |
Ah, I'll give that a shot. I put the files where my other styles were located.
|
Yes, I saw you had a styles directory. You can leave it there if you wish and go to StyleVars and change the image paths there. Either way would work.
|
That fixed it, thanks.
|
nice style Mark!
Here is a demo link if you like :) (edit.. uploading images now) |
Looks like I need some more thread icons. Will get the done tonight and update. Looked good on my mobile too.
|
I am not familiar with the 4.x.x series yet but is there an option to disable the "new forum post" right column? Is that a default vbulletin setting?

cool, ya I noticed a few as well, looking forward to the update :) |
There is a bug in Visitor messages(in member profile). The "post messages" and "go advanced" is white and can not read.
|
That's a bug in vbulletin I believe (Someone can correct me if I'm wrong) Simply click Customize My Profile when viewing that screen, adjust the colors of the profile, and save as site default. In particular, you will want to change Button text color to something like #333333
|
After adding this theme, I get error:

Are you running vbulletin 4.1.1? That is the version of vbulletin this style is for. I would have set that in the main description, but vb.org hasn't updated the modification options to include 4.1.1 yet.
Yep, looked at your forum. Upgrade to 4.1.1 and you will be fine. |
Additional images have been added to the Zip. If you have already installed the style, simply upload the images and overwrite the old. Thank you.

I see you did the upgrade. Now you just need to download the theme again and upload the image directory. This will fix the mixed icons that are displaying on your forum in the thread lists. |
This style is fantastic, cheers for making and sharing it.
3 Problems I have, grateful for any assistance: 1) If you have notifications, the notifications text is covered in a red block - this dissapears when you have read all your PM's/cleared all your notifications. 2) In users profiles, the Visitors/About Me/Friends blocks have white text on a white background and so are not visible 3) The text for the Rep/Send private message/Homepage etc. icons seem to be white on white as well under user profile Running at http://www.essexbikers.co.uk Cheers, Dan. EDIT: It seems to do it on your site too: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ And if you highlight the text: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ |
I'm still wondering how such a simple theme can be so d4mn sexy!
I love-love-love it! |

I get the same :( |
Please see this post:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....9&postcount=14 That will correct the above problem. I'll look into the notifications to see what's going on with that. |
Updated. Correction to the notifications has been made. If you do not want to overwrite your existing style, simply replace your header code with this code:
Code:
<div class="above_body"> <!-- closing tag is in template navbar --> |
thanks
I'll update the demo today :) Quote:

Code:
.ad_global_header { |
Thanks Mark, you are a legend ;)
I've uploaded the new xml (and images) and the notifications issue is fixed - many thanks. Is there any easy way to globally change user profiles to remove the white/white bug in vBulletin? If not i'll have to leave that until they fix it. I've also moved the ad banner down slightly - didn't spot that as I'm always automatically logged in so cheers. Is there a CSS option to move the forum logo down slightly as well so I can have it inline with that banner? If you look now for example, the banner sits lower so it looks a bit odd. I realise I might be pushing it a bit here but if there is any way you could make me up motorbike Read/Unread forum images to match your style I would be forever in your debt ;) I only have web hosting to barter with but happy to sort out anything you may need in return. Thanks again. |

I changed all the text and link colours that where white to #3e3e3e and it looks perfect. |
I'm not on my demo board so I don't know where this CSS class is defined, but the quick way to move your logo down would be, look for this code in the header:
Code:
<a class="logo-image" href="forum.php? change the 5px to suite your needs. As for your forum markers, I'll see what I can do. |

Not sure how these will look til you upload them. They will go in your statusicon directory.
See attached. Hope you like them. |

btw, maybe it was posted, but how can I fix the profiles? I didn't see a customize my profile link, very few members have custom profiles, can I just disable that option for all groups and the profiles will look good? thx |
I got this error on install:
Warning: Missing argument 2 for vB_Template_Runtime::linkBuild(), called in [path]/includes/class_core.php(4414) : eval()'d code on line 3 and defined in [path]/includes/class_core.php on line 5231 Fatal error: Call to undefined method vB_Friendly_Url_Error::get_url() in /home/bigboard/public_html/wmforum.com/includes/functions.php on line 7096 |
That is because you are not running vbulletin 4.1.1. Upgrade and you will be fine.

Brandon, simply go to your user profile as an admin and change all the links/text colours that are currently white to something like #3e3e3e. Next to the save option is something about making this the default for all users. Hit that and away you go. |
Glad you like them and yes, look great.
|
ok i uploaded it but none of the images are working...
it is showing that painted paper looking thing on every image.. |
kk now it works, not sue what had gone wrong

Fantastic!
Please, can know how the Widget was transferred to the right (center)? https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1296206797 thx |
Nice style!
Does it come with fluid and fixed versions? Please solve the thing with the profiles for next update! |
It's Fluid, but you can make the width whatever you like with the StyleVar, and the profile text color as far as I know is a vb bug, not the style. See the previous post for setting the profile colors. If anyone knows a way around the profile text color using CSS, please feel free to offer the solution.
Macara, I don't know what you are asking. |
