Description:
Send PM to Users in Mass

Installation:

1. Upload all files in folder upload to ther respective directories on your webserver.
2. Go to ACP / Plugins & Products / Manage Products and import product-mass_pm.xml

Where to set options:
ACP-> Users-> Send PM to Users

is this only for Admin's use ? can it be configure for certain usergroups or users?

Only for users that can administer users.

How is this on server resources?

It uses vB PM Datamanager to send the message.
Also you can specify how many pm to send per page.

The it should adhere to the vb limits so it shouldn't be too bad. I'll give it a shot, sir.

Also in my version you can use the following variables:
$userid, $username and $email

BBCode editor will be added in next release.
To allow HTML, would need to add a query every time when a user read a pm or with one file (private.php) edit.

Hmm, normal users have a limit of max 5 PM's at the time... admin users don't have this.
yet it's only sending it to 5 people.. any suggestions?

yes you need to set your throttle limit to 0 for admins and PM's to send at once to 0. You can do this by going to usergroups and edit usergroup. Its a setting per usergroup.

BTW works flawlessly on 4.0.3

I have this installed on 4.1.0. I see the mod and did a test but I did not get it. Anyone else?

Yes there is a difference, that the old one works perfect on vb4.0.8pl2 and it have the options to select per usergroup :D:up:

You can select which usergroups to send (primary and secundary).

is it possible to show this in the Moderator control panel as well?

It only shows in the users section of the admin control panel and i want my moderators to be able to use this option.

Only way around is to grant them admin access to the users section which i dont want to do.

Does it make a difference to this mod if you have changed the name of your admincp?

Obviously I uploaded the files to the right location, but "Send PM to Users" is not appearing in my admincp menu. Do any of the files need to be edited to change the name of admincp?

OK, I managed to find out why this mod wasn't showing up in the Users menu for me. Have you ever installed any other mass PM mods?

When I uninstalled this hack, because I couldn't get it to work, I spotted another .xml file in the includes folder. This mod uses a file called cpnav_mass_pm.xml, and I had another file called cpnav_masspm.xml already in the includes folder.

After I deleted both of those files and reinstalled this mod it started working.

I use VBulletin 4.1.0 and it didn't work. I put everything in the correct spot in the directory. In the includes I put those 3 things and in the Admin CP I put the 1 thing. I uploaded the file you specified by importing and it's enabled? I have no clue why this isn't working. Please help me it will greatly be appreciated!

Edit: Do I need to add it as a new plugin too? Not as a product but plugin. If so what information and PHP code do I put?

Let me explain: when I send a mass PM I want that all users receive it, except the ones that denied receiving emails from admins.
