have you seen this? Blank or 'White' Pages

mclarens 12-30-2010 08:00 PM

Yeah

Also nothing changes was made to the forum so its abit odd it should happen out of no where

OldSchoolDSL 12-30-2010 08:06 PM

What was the last 3 thing you did? (Try un-doing them, in order from last 1st)

Check your server status

Re-upload your core files (if you've not edited any)

Last things i did was something simple as adding forums
And have't done anything else realy then tweaking on the template, but tryed to add a new one and choose another as showing,

But odd the admin and everything else works then the forum.

+ tryed the checklist Brandon posted.

guess it is a re-install :<

Try changing back to the system default theme as your main theme.

When adding theme, did you by chance "merge" it by mistake into the system default theme?

The last time that I see a Similar problem was with the Template, but I can enter using
PHP Code:

forum.php?styleid=

The another time was because the Hosting restricted the files for much use

or maybe you upload the files with a root account and the files no have permission to read

That worked, well atleast i could see the board on a wierd way.

about the files, i upploaded the zip file via the hosting cp and extracted it.
but dont think that is the problem as the board have been working for a few days, ( newly set it up)
But still annoying to have to start all over

And now, when i see how it looks, it only can be the theme right?

Solved:

Lesson learned, dont mess with stuff you aint got any clue on.

Deleteting and reinstalling

OldSchoolDSL 12-31-2010 01:44 AM

forum.php?styleid=X

If this worked, then it is a good chance you merged the them.

Don't feel bad. I Google`d how to install a theme (style) when I first got vBulletin and I remember that was one of the biggest mistakes others had posted about.
