NOTE:
This modification works for all versions of vBulletin.

DESCRIPTION:
Each time a user pastes content from your website into an email, blog or website, we automatically add a URL link back to your site?s original content. When someone clicks that URL, they are directed back to your site and see the original content. This drives incremental traffic to your site when your content is shared without your knowledge while maintaining a consistent user experience.

How to Install ? CMS Systems

When you sign up for a Tynt Insight account a custom script will be created specifically for you. Add the javascript snippet to the HTML on your page templates right before the end of the body close tag. Tynt Insight will begin working immediately.

Hmmm, question.

What about hotlinking? Lets say I have specific icons other sites might want. Would this provide a backlink and show results of who is hotlinking?

I would like to say it works on hotlinking but I can't seem to produce an attribute link out of it from copying a picture yet it shows to me that someone copied an image.

I think that it's only triggered if there's text around the image.

Taurus1 12-21-2010 10:25 PM

Will this also work for vb4? Great idea! Thank you!

final kaoss 12-21-2010 10:28 PM

Yes it can work on any php/html script and it's doing fine for my vbulletin 4 forum so no worries :D

Taurus1 12-21-2010 10:29 PM

Awesome thanks. Just registered and installed. Great stuff!

wacnstac 12-22-2010 01:31 PM

Unfortunately TNYT does not support fully copying code within a site which is a drag.

soundbarrierpro 12-22-2010 02:33 PM

Seems cool but I'd be interested in knowing what sites are using my icons. Which of course don't tend to have any text around them. :(

Consumer Product Safety Commission Report Reveals Decline in ATV Deaths and Injuries

Industry Remains Committed to National Safety and Training Programs IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 20, 2010 – All-terrain vehicle injuries involving youth under age 16 have declined a statistically significant 14 percent according to a report released today by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC 2009 Annual Report of ATV Deaths and Injuries”). According to the CPSC, total ATV-related injuries in 2009 decreased 2.4 percent from 2008. The report also estimates the third consecutive decline in the total number of deaths in the three years 2006 through 2008 (2009 data collection is ongoing), a 16% decrease over that period.

The CPSC also reported that the risk of injury per 10,000 four-wheel ATVs in use declined by five percent from 2008 to 2009. This is the eighth straight year that injury risk for ATV riders has decreased – a downward trend that the CPSC also describes as statistically significant – and it is now lower than at any time since CPSC began calculating this injury risk in 1985. Four-wheel ATVs have become increasingly popular with the number of vehicles in use more than tripling since 1998 to over 10.5 million.

“The commitment of the member companies of the ATV Safety Institute (ASI) to rider education, parental supervision, and state legislation is reflected in the continued decline of ATV injuries and fatalities as reported by the CPSC,” said Paul Vitrano, executive vice president, ASI. “Since 1984, the major manufacturers and distributors of ATVs in the United States have worked closely with the CPSC to implement ongoing safety initiatives.”

In 2009, the industry’s voluntary ANSI/SVIA standard was made mandatory as a result of federal legislation. The legislation requires all ATV manufacturers and distributors, regardless of where the product is manufactured (imported or U.S.), to adhere to the same safety standards and training programs established and followed by the ASI member companies for more than two decades. This includes newer companies in the U.S. market that had previously elected not to participate in safety programs developed by established manufacturers and in some cases targeted inappropriate models to youth riders. Under the legislation, all ATV manufacturers now must certify that their products conform to the mandatory standards, and file safety action plans with the CPSC.

“CPSC studies have found that approximately 90 percent of injuries to youth under 16 occur on adult-sized ATVs,” said Vitrano. “We will be redoubling our efforts in the new Congress to enact legislation as soon as possible to end the effective ban on the sale of youth model ATVs and motorcycles.”

The ATV industry is committed to the safety of its customers and will continue to promote and enhance its multi-tiered efforts to increase awareness of the proper operation and use of ATVs. Unfortunately, more than 92% of ATV-related fatalities involve one or more behaviors that the industry strongly and visibly warns against in its rider education programs, in all its literature, and on the vehicles themselves.

To that end we urge all ATV enthusiasts and their families to follow the ATV Safety Institute’s Golden Rules:

1. Always wear a DOT-compliant helmet, goggles, long sleeves, long pants, over-the-ankle boots, and gloves.
2. Never ride on paved roads except to cross when done safely and permitted by law – another vehicle could hit you. ATVs are designed to be operated off-highway.
3. Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4. Never carry a passenger on a single-rider ATV, and no more than one passenger on an ATV specifically designed for two people.
5. Ride an ATV that's right for your age.
6. Supervise riders younger than 16; ATVs are not toys.
7. Ride only on designated trails and at a safe speed.
8. Take a hands-on ATV RiderCourseSM; and the free online E-Course. Visit atvsafety.org or call 800.887.2887.

The All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Institute? develops rider training programs and promotes the safe and responsible use of ATVs. The ASI works to reduce crashes and injuries resulting from improper ATV use. Formed in 1988, the ASI is a not-for-profit division of the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America?. For safety information or to enroll in the ATV RiderCourseSM nearest you, visit ATV Safety Institute or call (800) 887-2887.

awesome!! looks like it works like a charm!

I wonder about pictures??? I will try.

wtrk 12-23-2010 07:50 PM

very cool. thanks.

Wonksta 12-25-2010 06:33 AM

Set up an account followed the instructions put the code in head saved etc etc but it does not work no idea why.

Did the test thing on the Tynt site but it said failed even those the script was live on the forum very strange.

final kaoss 12-25-2010 09:33 PM

What's your site? Do you have adblockplus or noscript enabled? And everyone have a good christmas!

Wonksta 12-26-2010 07:20 AM

Nah I don't have noscript enabled but the script uses <script> so shouldn't be an issue? I've got about 3 other scripts in the header including analytics.

final kaoss 12-27-2010 09:13 PM

I like to use this along with cpalead. With cpalead, I've set it so if they complete 1 offer, they won't see the cpalead advert again for one year. If they choose the close the cpalead box, they'll see the cpalead advert once every 5 minutes. The only reason I threw in cpalead is because it's good with blocking adblock plus, so this pretty much makes it to where they can't block the tynt script. Enjoy & share!

@wonk, make sure the code appears before the </body> tag and it works. Also try surrounding the given code with the vbliteral tag

Works perfectly, thank you, however it doesn't seem to work with Opera, no link is pasted.

Wreck713 05-20-2011 03:15 PM

well just the link would be this-

http://www.midlandsheritage.co.uk/mi...#ixzz1n22zkmmL

which works for me and here's another one-

....I did think that the newer addition (with the rounded ends) was listed and I'm fairly sure that I read somewhere they were going to incorporate these fairly iconic features into apartments.. but it would appear not as its going to be demolished...

which also works for me..

fyi to people ; if you have a very ACTIVE forum then this can slow down your forum. Think it has more to do with tynt being pinged or their servers etc. tho but just recently i found this a reason to slowing things down so i removed.
