lastpostdate is missing

Hello, can somebody help me?
It's important in my forum to see the "last post date" in the topics, but also in the ACP.
Normaly there are dates shown in the folowing parts.

Topics:
http://totalupload4you.nl/images/h3y...qojy2xxq29.jpg

Profiles:
http://totalupload4you.nl/images/ada...cfxrp47yec.jpg

ACP:
http://totalupload4you.nl/images/h4e...akn9v0soph.jpg

In the yellow blocks should be a date, but since last week i've last them.

I'm using vb3.8.6 and the last installation was: 2 language packs (German and Spanish).
Could this cause the problem? I did not de-install the packs, because i'm getting more international and the google translate mod is causing conflicts with VBSEO.
VBSEO gave me the tip to remove this mod, because the search-engines should be seeing more than there is on my forum and it should be false info and the chance to be banned from these search-engines was a possibillity.

Please can someone help me with this problem?

Greets Ron.

PS: Sorry for my bad English writing, but it is not my strongest point unfortunatly.

Is the information showing in the page source? Have you looked to see if the phrases were translated correctly? Did you use a language pack made for your version of the software? Had you ever modified that phrase before?

mp3president 11-15-2010 02:16 AM

What information? I'm still busy with some translations (GLOBAL), but the only tranlations are English (US) Standard and home made Dutch, and those had no problems! The language packs are for 3.8.*, so yes i did use the right packs. No, it was the first time i installed language packs, ther was even a little mistake with installing the German pack, my complete ACP was German (i was happy i can read that to a little bit), but installed the original vbullentin language from the install disk and the problem was solved with the German ACP, but now the last post date.

Lynne 11-15-2010 03:07 AM

I'm asking if the last post date is shown in the page source? I am having a hard time telling what is supposed to be in those images since it's in another language, but it looks like you may have the date set wrong in the language pack - languages & phrases > language manager > edit settings > date & time formatting.

mp3president 11-15-2010 03:26 AM

Working with pics again then, these pics are in English.

The date and time settings in Dutch (standard) and what i see:

The date and time settings in English (US)
http://totalupload4you.nl/images/65m...l85sx9kkv6.jpg

The settings in German
http://totalupload4you.nl/images/h9b...epmjwgwqx7.jpg

Those above three i can read and write a little.

Now the settings in Spanish

Maybe this is a little more clear for you, but i think these settings should be correct, the dutch settings were not changed by by hand, so these should be the same as it was before the problem of not showing the dates.

Thanks for your help so far.

Grt Ron.

--------------- Added [DATE]1289883866[/DATE] at [TIME]1289883866[/TIME] ---------------

UPDATE:
I deleted the last two installed languages (German and Spanish).
Problem is'nt fixed with this option, dates still are not shown in all parts.
Even the forum itself is showing only "Today and yesterday".

Greetings Ron.

There is nobody with a solution?

Grtz Ron.

Lynne 12-06-2010 03:58 AM

Wait, so you aren't saying the dates are missing, but just that they aren't formatted how you want - they are saying Today and Yesterday? That is a setting in vboptions > Datestamp Display Option set to something other than Yesterday / Today

mp3president 12-06-2010 04:24 AM

Hello Lynne,

I know these settings, but they are now set on detailled, because now users can see when the last post is placed for about 2 weeks back (minutes/hours/days ago) but no date.
When i set this to Normal i'll see nothing, just the time, but no date.
If it's on Yesterday/Today i see time and Today and Yestrday but no date when the post is older then that.

These settings have some importance because NoProbs is a usenet forum and ihe posters and spotters would like to see when a post/spot is placed, so they will not post a double spot/post.
The dates are not showing anywere, not in the shout, in the search, not even in similar threads (this is the biggest problem).

Greetings Ron.

Then I would start by reuploading all new totally default files for your site.

Then try disabling all your plugins via the config.php file.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php

PHP Code:

define('DISABLE_HOOKS'true);

And, if that doesn't work, the Create a new style with no parent:
  • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
  • Parent Style: No Parent Style
  • Title: Default vBulletin
  • Allow User Selection: Yes
  • Save
Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

So, basically take your site back to totally default and see if it works.

When did the dates stop appearing? What happened on your site around that time - new mods, upgrade, what?

mp3president 12-06-2010 02:25 PM

I installed 2 different languages, German and Spanish.
But both are allready removed.
I thought off re-update the system again without losing messages, but i keep pushing the date forward because of the time.
But it is something to try very soon.

The styles all are having no parent style.

The suggestion is asking if it shows like you want it on the default blue vb.com style..

mp3president 12-08-2010 10:06 AM

I found the/a problem now.
First i turned off all the plugins like you mentioned.
This had no effect.

Then i made a new default skin with the plugins disabled, still no effect.

I wanted to prtscr the looks, but thought that the Dutch language would be a problem, so i turned it to English......
And there were the lastpost dates... visible.

I changed the style, and the dates were still visible, after turning all the plugins back on, the dates were still visible.

So... it must be something with the Dutch language where it should be wrong.
I will try to make the changes in the date/time settings in the Dutch part, maybe i'll find the correct problem.
I will make a notice here if it turns on right or wrong.

Thank you for so far.

Grtz Ron.

It's solved

The date settings in the Dutch part were no good.
What happened, i don't realy know, maybe it did go wrong with the installation of the two other languages.
But it's solved know, thank you for your time.

Up to the next problem :p
