Black and Blue v1.5

Credits:

This theme (style) was originally released by vBulletin.com, but I updated for 4.0.8 for those who may not know how to update it properly.

It includes a pre-style template mod called: Private Messages vb4 like vBulletin.org
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=251957

Full credit goes to both vBulletin.com & ichal_spy

The only credit I take is updating it & pre-adding the code. Nothing more.

Should works with both the forum & suite 4.0.8

Check out your own page http://www.sociallyuncensored.com/fo....php?styleid=5
Should the "Blog Entries" area on the right have a white background? Same problem for the "What's Going On" on the bottom of the page.

It's the issue a lot of people have been having with 4.08.

Not a bug, at least for me.

It was left that way on purpose when updating this theme (style). It clearly defines it away from the forum & statistics.

Hoping someone can help me with this theme. I have the following problem on the profile pages.

See screenshot attached.....

I can't find the code responsible for the text that is colored black on the sidebar, on the tabs, and on the buttons under the visitor messages entry box. I looked all through the CSS and I'm drawing a blank. Does anyone know where I can change that to something readable ?

On the authors site, that same text is colored blue. I dont understand why mine is black. I didnt make any changes to the version I downloaded today.

Admincp> Styles & Templates> Style Manager> Stylevar > Header > header_background

Change the background color. I use the follow color: rgb(0, 51, 153)

chaosportal 11-04-2010 12:40 AM

I didnt think the font color would share a setting with the header background color. I really didnt want the header background color to be anything other than black. Is there anything I can do to make those items use some other stylevar to get their colors ?

The bug in 4.0.8 is for some reason the header color shares the profile font color. IB (makers of vBulletin) claim that this will be fixed in 4.0.9

This is also why so many others are having such a hard time updating their themes (styles) & why many have elected to completely skip over 4.0.8

Ugh. Yeah I just ran across the threads about this bug. Thanks for your help !

You're welcome.

Wish I had a better answer for your, but we all seem to be stuck working with what we've been given & this is what IB gave us. :o

I know you said before that the white sidebar boxes (and cms widgets) were white because you designed them that way. I actually really like how they look. But FYI, they don't appear white on 4.0.7 and earlier. (see attachment) And they probably wont be white when 4.0.9 comes out.

I think they are only white on 4.0.8 because of the bug. The reason I say this is because all the other themes I install on 4.0.8 also have white sidebar and cms boxes.

I downgraded to 4.0.7 to fix all the misc annoying style bugs and as a result I got these ugly blocks when I actually loved the look of the "bugged" blocks with your theme. I'm a novice (at best) with styles and I've had no luck getting them to look like the bugged version.

This theme was made / updated for 4.0.8. How it works on 4.0.7 is anyone's guess & is not supported (sorry).

Support will not be further provided and I have discontinued use on this myself (uninstalled).

You install this at your own risk.

Anyone is welcome to pick-up this to continue it if they like.
