AdsenseExperts.com - The Professional Adsense Publisher Network
Hello Everyone,
I am a frequent user of big webmaster communities like digitalpoint or webmasterworld. However these communities get flooded with Adsense newbies and their newbie questions. To find the gold in all these threads you have to read hundreds of them. That is why I started my new Project: http://www.adsenseexperts.com I would really like some feedback from you as professional vBulletin webmasters on my new project. Especially some feedback about the look & feel of my new Forum. Any useful criticism is very welcome. Kind regards StarBuG |
Great idea. I have bookmarked your site and already learnt alot. Thanks
|
You are welcome
|
Looks nice, simple, and professional... very nice.
The smiley names appear to be in German, was that intentional? |
No it is not.
I am German and installed the German Version of vB before I noticed, that there is an English Version available also ;) I am trying to correct this soon |
Sort of confused. Your site explains your an adsense expert, but your site is void of adsense?
Its sort of like a golf instructor, who doesnt own golf clubs. Or a vegetarian who sells meat. LOL |
There are actually several reasons for not displaying Adsense or even Ads in general on this site.
For that however I want my site to become an authority site first to increase the chances of being allowed to do so. The main purpose of this site is to gather knowledge which is on the long run more beneficial then a few bucks. But this is only because I have several other projects generating money for me so I am not dependent on the income from this website. I have several other websites that are monetized by Adsense and I am doing quite well with it ;) StarBuG |
Any more feedback?

New version of my AdSense Integrations for first and last post released after adapting
a small CSS "trick" suggested by one member of AdSenseExperts.com Until 3 weeks ago the text of the first post started on the left side of the AD like this: TextTextTextText Ad Ad Ad TextTextTextText Ad Ad Ad TextTextTextText Ad Ad Ad TextTextTextText Ad Ad Ad TextTextTextTextTextTextT TextTextTextTextTextTextT I then changed that by utilizing a neat little CSS "trick" to make the text flow around the Ad like this: TextTextTextTextTextTextT TextTextTextTextTextTextT TextTextTextText Ad Ad Ad TextTextTextText Ad Ad Ad TextTextTextText Ad Ad Ad TextTextTextText Ad Ad Ad TextTextTextTextTextTextT TextTextTextTextTextTextT This small change increased my CTR over 300% and my eCPM over 350% for this Ad Unit (stats comparison of a 12 days time period before and after the change) That is what AdSenseExperts.com is all about. Go check them out: AdSense inside the first post v1.1 - AdSenseExperts.com Exclusive AdSense inside the last post v1.1 - AdSenseExperts.com Exclusive And if you are using Version 1.0 I strongly suggest you UPGRADE! ;) |
Good site, i like it .. let me give you my opinion based on the design aspect.. Your site is designed efficiently , but not attractive ... I like your use of colors but i gets boring very quick i understand is a webmaster forum.. but i would say to add an interesting background , that gray is just boring.. perhaps a gradient from top , or an image , take this site for example..
Another thing is i noticed , the huge REGISTER box.. it gets VERY annoying after the first page , you should consider only having it on the home page , and then add a smaller version on the rest of the pages... hmm like my site for example ( http://www.vbdesigners.com/forums/ ) You should consider a navigation for the site , to link to the most important and interesting parts of your website , BLOGS.. Videos... Resources... etc... its a good site but it can be better. |
Thanks for your feedback.
I am a fan of "less is more" and I personally try to keep it simple and professional. That is why I am not a fan of background images. It is different if you run a design website or a professional business website. I think a background image would be to much. The welcome box is "in your face", I know but that is exactly like I want it. I want people to register and not to keep them lurking. I maybe change my mind later but right now I like it. Regarding the navigation, I don't really get what you mean by that? The forum navigation contains all the important links. And I don't want to link inside my content from the navbar. I don't use blogs, don't offer video uploads or such. Care to elaborate? |
Simply i would say "WOW"
Overall very good design. Let me say it is simple, easily readable, nice layouts, smooth colors and good fonts etc...much more good things to say about your site.... Looks like site navigation links you have choosen xenforo design, it looks nice...would love to know if this mod is available here at vb.org :) Visited your site, read about experience and vbseo usage report etc..more detail content. would visit again... good luck Doc...thanks. |
I did the Breadcrumb mod myself. It is not that hard ;)
in the navbar template find: Code:
<div id="breadcrumb" class="breadcrumb"> Code:
<div class="breadBoxTop"> Code:
<vb:if condition="$show['breadcrumb']"> Code:
<vb:if condition="$show['breadcrumb']"> Code:
/*------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

|
I'll think about releasing my breadcrumb mod as modification here on vb.org
