Is Project Tools development dead?
 

Since the release of PT as an open source product, not much development seems to be going on.

Maybe it just seems that way, but if the Open Source forum is anything to go by there is not much hope for PT being developed into a mature product.

Is PT development dead or temporarily inactive?
Are there any plans to add new functions, addons or do a new release in the near future?

I've been wondering the same thing. Granted, what I have now seems to work pretty good, but there's a LOT of room for improvement. Would be nice to know the status of this though, so I can either be excited about an upcoming release, or get used to the fact that what I have now, is all I'm going to have.

I added a lot of features, I'm waiting from some advice from our leaders (they are late) :p

Maybe you need to tell them to either lead, follow or get the hell out of your way? ;) Regardless,it's good to know it's being worked on at least. Any chance of some update notes or anything?

But will PT work with vb4.1 in near future?

If the leaders do not have time for this project, why not allow some of the experienced developers to get involved.

BTW: how many people are actively working on PT?

Versions (the app I'm using on OSX to commit/update files in SVN) don't have a statistics system on it - so I can't tell you :)

Due to the late of the release and latest changes in vBulletin, the version 2.1.2 will be 4.0.8+ only. Sorry for users which are using previous versions but like a lot of designers/coders, we can't add support for every releases as there is a lot of changes in every of them.

After this version, we are expecting to move to 2.2 with some new features (2.1.2 will have some of them but 2.2 should have more specific new features). I think 2.1 will have more updates but these could be only maintenance update (bug fixes).

When this will be released, I'll post here some changelog for 2.1.2 :)

No vb3.8??

We didn't started anything about 2.0.x releases.

I hope that the development of PT for vb3.8 will be started by someone. It looks like vb4 may not be solid enough until quite a long time from now.

2.1.2 with colors pleeeeaaaaaase :D:D:D

Just installed 2.1.1 under VB 4.1 PL2 and all went fine.
So far this Mod is a great project.

Colors associated with status would be fantastic.

crossing fingers the star voting/rating concept makes it, not sure if there is a roadmap board

Some bugs were found while the product is translated, fixed 2 / 4 (maybe 3 today). All related to thread/post import feature.

I hope to have all these issues fixed and approved on staging before sunday to release finally it.

9 issues were found while the translation was made - 7 are 100% fixed.

2 others of them are a little risky to fix them 100% (related to 1 template and the display of 1 error).

heh, in which case, he should pass this off to someone that has the time. I don't care if he's working on something for another product. For me, it's all about time. If you don't have the time to support this AND that... then let someone else do this.

No one asked me, but I noticed another PT thread earlier. Ive uploaded the zip directly to vb.org for now.

The reason you cannot upload it as an attachment is the server settings only allow 2M files [max]. Ive logged aticket with IB support asking for the php upload limit to be increased.
