Help me, I'm turning into a vb.org addict

I'm still fairly new to vbulletin and it's vast (and fantastic) community, but already feel like I'm being sucked in.
Before I visited vb.org, I would just occasionally go to vb.com to check up on something I needed to learn. Now, I hardly ever visit vb.com and am always on vb.org.

I don't feel it's a bad thing though ofcourse, I have gone from close to no php knowledge to completing small vbulletin freelance jobs for people in the space of a few months, it's amazing me how much and how quickly I have and am learning here.

I'm even working on some themes that I plan to release here eventually, but they'll take their sweet time.

I guess what I'm trying to say is (1:35am, you'll have to forgive me for being all over the place) is thankyou to the vb.org community for all it has given me, and I can only hope to contribute a small part of that back to you guys.

That makes 2 of us. I enjoy hanging around this forum and vb.com a lot myself as well. The time I spent here has been very educotianal. Both forums are a gold mine of info. I have learnt a lot of things here and I try to pay it forward and contribute/give back whenever I can :)

Hi Jack, I am a vb.org and vb.com addict and have been for a while. I came here first to learn, but found the best way to learn was to help out and read, read, and read. I ended up sticking around after solving my couple of problems.

That's exactly what happened in my case, I came to get a few questions answered, and before I knew it I was tearing apart vb and looking through all the code and now I'm a permanent visitor here and on vb.com (although only negativity on that site, it's all been posted before)

Also, thanks Lynne, I can't tell you how many times I have searched for something and found one of your posts as the answer. You are a goldmine of info.

You could always throw the idea around in the mod suggestion forum, no guarantees but it couldn't hurt to try.

I'm focusing alot on my own site and some paid jobs right now but would be interested in hearing your ideas for future mods.

Alternatively, start reading up on php :p

I just joined vb.org to download one mod I wanted so badly. But after realizing that the community was very helpful and most of the members were very knowledgeable, I found vb.org a great place to be.

I am addicted too. I can't now imagine a day without a visit to vb.org.

It's hard to stay away, I've said it before and I'll say it again... "This is where the magic happens"

I think my authentic addicted to vb.org card may be revoked soon due to my constant absence :p

I haven't had a stable internet connection for months (still stuck on a satellite wireless usb device) but thankfully I've got a shiny new unlimited ADSL2+ account heading my way. 10 days until connection I'm told so it's still a little way away.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to release some more mods/styles. vb.org is probably already chocker block with them, but it can't hurt to have a few more right? :p
