when i disable vb2twitter plug in its works fine.

The problem is with the modification which is why when you disable it, it works fine. So, if you want to get rid of the error, get rid of the modification. You should probably post about the problem in the modification thread so the developer can fix it if it's an error with his modification.

Or, for god's sake, READ the mod's thread. You've been on notice for months that basic auth was going to stop working on 9/1/10.

betts02 09-03-2010 07:22 AM

Just go to plug-in manager and disable it mate

Hope this helps you

Glad at least 1 of us can be friendly and helpfull !!!

If you have misinterpreted someone in this thread as being either unfriendly or unhelpful, you are in error.

When someone installs a modification, it is incumbent upon them to keep up with updates to that code, otherwise odd things can happen and we end up with useless questions like this.

Because I follow both mods that post threads to Twitter, I know that we've been on notice for some 6 months now that it would stop working (Twitter extended the deadline once). Beyond me why this is going to come as a surprise to some people.

And who was the one that wasn''t friendly in this thread if I may ask? What Videx said is according to the rules here that all the modification/style questions should be posted at their appropriate threads. What is unfriendly or unhelpful about that?

It is beyond me as well. I don''t understand why some people react, so unpleasant let us say, if you remind them about the rules here. I mean they have rules at their own forums and expect their users to follow them. Here is no exeption either one would think.

Ohh it must be a rainy day for some of you LOL!

Basically it's hard to interpret how we meant to "say" something being as it's typed...

I could come in and ONLY post.

Which would be a way to fix it and show you that something is up and you need to read it however you could read that in a sense that I was simply coming in and being a prick by posting that... you could despite the fact I happened to be in a very pleasant mood when posting but assuming ended up making an arse out of us all eh? If I had posted:

One smiley makes the difference, funny tbo.

Tact is one of my favorite words but when typing posts on a forum without eye to eye, earshot to earshot communication we have a tendency to misinterpret things on occasion, Agreed?

I am not getting into a slagging match as this is beyond me, But if you refer to :

Not very friendly when someone is asking for help

Its easy for an experienced coder or vbulletin users like your selfs to say do this and that but its a whole lot easier for someone to follow with a simple answer

You did not have to respond to the thread at all, I had the exact same error and posted this up last week, But got a more welcoming answer which is why i come back to vbulletin, Not just for the mods, But for the community help

But some are not so clued up with vbulletin and therefore ask here in the forums for help, No matter how silly it may seem to you

Its easier and more pleasant to be welcoming and friendly

Thats my rant and please do not take anything personal, It was just my opinion that some can be more helpfull than others

I don''t understand, why you should be a prick if you pointed to someone to post at the mod's thread when such a thing should be done according to the rules. Smiley or no smiley doesn''t make a difference at all in my opinion.

Take the example at this very thread. How videx''s reply was hinted not to be friendly and/or helpful.

Anyway, I don''t think this is the place to discuss this further as we will be gettting way off topic.

You guys are getting a bit worked up over this and perhaps it's time to just take a step back and go out and enjoy the day. (Well, I don't know what your weather is like, but here in California it is another GORGEOUS day!!)

Have a good day guys!!!

Agreed, I did and just came back. Not being a prick, smileys can make a difference, I can have several female only forums email you an say that they do from some of the few male members. I don't always mean things how you interpret them Borbole ;).

If I would have used a :p what then? See my point? If I were there in front of you expressions and body language play key roles, only thing I was hinting at.
