Hide Random Posts From Guests And Lurkers
 

I made this mod originally for a user who requested it at my forum and thought to share it here as well for those that might find a use for it too.

This hack will allow you to hide random post/s of your choosing to guests and members below a certain post count set by Admin. You can enable and disable the mod from the mod settings at your Acp->Block Random Posts To Guests And Lurkers and add the number of posts for lurkers that can''t see the hidden posts.

There you can also choose which post/s to hide from guests and lurkers, add the message that you want to be displayed to them instead of the hidden post/s.

Installed but the mod is not working. I enabled the mod and changed the Hidden Guests Random post from 0 to 1 but i am still able to see the posts (when on as a guest).

I have left it enabled so you can test for yourself.

Did you enter the post id? Because it blocks random posts choosen by id.

The mod works fine btw as I tested it multiple times before releasing it :)

This will be good if it can add a link to auto add the thread to the mod from the Thread tools or the Administrative link on the First post header

This would be better as a user option.

are there similar mods that will block an entire thread fro, being viewed by guests/lurkers?

Does this work for 4.2? and is it possible to block all threads and posts for guests and lurkers?

You can do that by default in vBulletin Killerford, within the permissions.
