XBOX-Kinect / Xbox Style
 

Hi all,

Again been a while since ive released a style, so i decided to release a style i made for my Xbox Kinect Forums... Hopefully some of you find this useful.

Footer link removal: Please PM me

Please all i ask in return for using the style is that the footer link stays in place, after recent checks ive noticed 100's of boards using my styles and the footer links have been removed, i get sick of contacting admins to either add the link back or remove the style, it's a small price to pay especially when us designers release them for free and have to offer support to everyone.

Anyways hope you like the style :)

Welcome guys, there a few minor template mods but many more to come in the 4.0.6 version. I will be adding more features and a full set of statusicons & misc images in the next release and want to add more polish to the graphics (graphics are very light weight atm).. but somewhat happy with how it turned out.

Can you share PDS'logo for me?

Adding PSD logo now for you now.. please check attachments of the first thread in a few minutes. It's is a very basic logo tho, i will have a much better one for the 4.0.6 update

You should give people an option of removing the footer link. maybe a donation for the removal of the footer link - in reply to your comments.

Ok ive added an option for footer link removal if a $5.00 donation is made, you can use the "support developer" button for this, if you need help removing the footer link PM me with your transaction ID and i will give you instructions to remove the footer link.

I am using the Evo Chatbox and a notice is displayed to my user. But the Chatbox and the Info are not in on line with the Widgets. See attachment.
I would like to add a Background and hope u can tell me where i have to include it. Thanks

To the above question...

you need to change the padding to move the widgets pictured above, the way it is set now is the default width of vb4, because you have the chat box in the "breadcrumbs" section it isn't aligned, you can either move the chatbox into the main body wrapper (this will align with the widgets) or you can edit the padding of the body... you can do so here:

Stylevars/common/Body_Padding

Change the left & right from "20" to "2" or even zero.

This is not a problem with the style, it's a problem as to where you have the chatbox positioned, the body padding is set to 20 left & right by default.

Hi lubbie..

That banner being showed below the navbar is just the default vb advertisement manager in place, you can add an image to stylevars/common/body_background

make sure you set it to "NO-Repeat" you can also use, "centered" or "center" in the horizontal alignment to center the image.

Thank you. Got the BG but i cannot repeat it in both directions.
I am using the doc-bg.png and cut the black and green, hope thats ok, and wanted to fill the whole background below the navbar. But that seems to be not possible?

btw. it does not look like u will do an update to newer vB versions?

if you want to do that i suggest you add the extra background colors to the doc-bg.. as below the navbar is contained in a wrapper.. the other thing you could do is edit the body width and make it full sized.. currently the doc_maxwidth is set to 980px.. you could change this to Auto and the style will then become full sized...

I?m just asking, coz i would like to use this style, what makes no sense if u stop doing anything becoz of some nerds, what will happen again and again. Not only to u, i guess.

When using this template I noticed that user id's are showing up on my forum, how do I remove this?

There is also a status field that has nothing? what is it for, it just says status

The status bit is the online status.. i am awaiting a reply for a fix for this.. this should be showing if the user is online or offline instead of the default green/red light/image.

You can change this back to default by reverting these 3 templates:

- postbit
- postbit_legacy
- postbit_onlinestatus

if you can not revert these, just copy over the default templates for this, this will undo the username / postbit_user info box, ive set it to centered, by reverting the above templates this will align this back to the default left position.

Is it possible to center the login Part and the part after login (Welcome user......)?
I´ve set the width of the Style now to 80%. Some parts are out of Range now on the right side.

I saw the rant regarding the warez sites sharing your content. Unfortunantly that is part of the net. Even if you made everyone pay for this skin it would still be on those websites. There is no way to prevent it either. All you can do is report the site to their host and hope they do something. Free or paid for, those warez sites take everything.

Hi CMSTemplateZ. I´ve done some "modifications" to the Style. Do i have to do them again if i update to a newer Version?

I would make a note of any edits you make, ive not yet looked 4.0.6 yet, and am unaware of the changes.. i have a lot more ideas / mods i want to make for the 4.0.6 update of this style so maybe don't go crazy with edits until i release the 4.0.6 version.

How to make it fluid??

To make this Fluid...

ADMINCP/STYLEVARS/COMMON:

you need to edit the doc_maxwidth (currently set to 980px) Also you can change the doc_margin to suit your needs.. default is 35px for left and right.

hey when you update this skin for 4.0.6 will you fix the issues I addressed? also how to remove the user id from showing, at least to regular members.

Just waiting on 4.0.6 for this.. all problems will be addressed, also have some new features / ideas i will be implementing.. so what i will do is release a Vanilla version and a Modded version.

Hey guys... Now that 4.0.6 has been released i will begin work on the updated versions of this for you tomorrow.. so 1-2 days from now i will have 2 new versions.. 1 very plain version and one modded version... ive just styled my first 4.0.6 and there are some great improvements.
