Just a simple question - how to remove "statistics" from Forum Home

Apologies for what might be a trivial question; I am a non-programmer, although happy to Notepad++ edit under directions.

How do I remove the "Statistics" from Forum Home, especially this: "Welcome to our newest member...". I want a cleaner look and feel and don't need this (mostly) irrelevant information for users. I, as admin, might be interested in the Stats, but I don't want the clutter for others.

Could you also point me to the code extraction/comment-out needed to remove the "Icon legend" and "Posting Permissions" blocks in Forum view.

However, oh dear, I can't find the FORUMHOME template. Where is it? I can't find anything on my server /forum/ subdirectories except this file vbulletin-style.xml in /forum/install which is a 2+MB file. Surely, vB doesn't parse this installer file constantly?

I think I must have got lost somewhere. :(

Although it does make me think where and how the templates are stored on my webserver. Never mind though, your instructions were great, and I've got it working! (And the info/clutter removed). Thanks again.
