Please click Mark as Installed if you are using this hack.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This hack will not work (or install) with vBulletin versions below 4.0.4, see Frequently Asked Questions section below for more information. What Does This Hack Do?
Silver
This is an update to my 3.8.x version of this hack, designed to work with vBulletin 4.0.4 and above. This is a hack adds a menu to the Forum tab on the navbar (and also optionally on the What's New tab), which allows you to search for unanswered threads forum-wide. This hack was originally created as a result of a request from Boofo in 2008 - see here. There are no file or template changes at all, and is fully phrased. vBulletin Version Compatibility
Silver
This hack can only be used with vBulletin 4.0.4 - 4.2.0, see Frequently Asked Questions section below for more information. For the v3.8.x version of this hack, which will also work with v3.7.x and v3.6.x - check here. Hack Support/Feature Requests
Silver
IMPORTANT: This hack is no longer supported. Frequently Asked Questions
Silver
Question: I get a "This product is not compatible with version 4.0.x of vBulletin. (Compatible starting with 4.0.4)" message. WTF does that mean?Answer: It means that this hack will not work with vBulletin versions below 4.0.4, as Internet Brands had removed some search functionality when they released vBulletin 4.0.0 that caused this hack to not function, they added back most of the functionality in vBulletin 4.0.4, see this bug report for more information - http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-3652. Do not ask for it to be made compatible, you will have to upgrade to vBulletin 4.0.4 for it to work.Question: I can not exclude forums. What can I do?Answer: Upgrade to vBulletin 4.0.8 (or above) and use the latest version of this hackQuestion: Why can I not select the location where I can add the menu on the What's New tab?Answer: Because there is only one template hook that allows you to auto-insert the menu Translations
Silver
I would like to thank the following people for their translations:

and http://www.wolfshead-solutions.com/ is offliine |
There is nothing wrong with this hack at all.
Tested and works fine in vBulletin 4.0.4 & 4.0.5, and that was tested using the default style as well as five custom styles. Wolfshead Solutions is now back online (crashed while I was asleep in the middle of the night Australian time). |
add to the first post...and on the install instructions, that you need to enable permissions on the usergroup manager...to show the unanswered threads link

Mark as installed :-) |
I tried to import the product into VB 4.0.6 and get this error:
Importing Product, Please Wait... [:] Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class vB_BlockType_Blogentries in forum/includes/block/blogentries.php on line 350 |

I just tested it by un-installing and re-installing it again, and works fine in vBulletin 4.0.6, and that was tested using the default style as well as five custom styles. |
Is there any way the can also appear on the what's new page?
|
Brilliant mod, installed and rated. Thank you :)
|
Does this add-on limit how far back it looks for unanswered threads? Like 24 hours or 3 days or a week? I can't see listing all for the past 6 years as helpful...
|
Great hack! I installed but my custom template will not show the link. Can you give me the url for this?
|
Just installed, seems to work OK.
Noticed something though, I went in and replied to one of the unanswered threads. Then clicked on the unanswered threads link. The post I just replied too, is still listed with reply 1. Anyone else notice this? |
Can you edit the search line to exlude any forum id's?

Hi all,
Free support has now been moved back to vBulletin.org. Please see the first post for more information (and also this thread at Wolfshead Solutions). Enjoy :) Regards, Mosh Shigdar - Wolfshead Solutions. |
Yes! 4.1.4
|
This looks great. I have a biggish forum and it's easy for topics to drop out of sight quickly. I'm just waiting for my search index to rebuild after upgrading and then I'm going to install it.

Thanks for the update. But I'm getting worried because I've lost track of how many mods are breaking with 4.2. Is it actually safe to upgrade and then upgrade the mods afterwards? Or should I make a list and uninstall them all before the upgrade?
I guess I'm not asking you specifically Mosh, just thinking out loud. |
