Steam Group Status
 

This is my first mod, so be gentle :)
I will try my best to offer support for whatever questions/issues may arise.
If anyone wishes to enhance the code or the look or anything in particular to this mod, please share it with us.

With this tutorial I assume that you have vbadvanced installed as this tutorial goes with that mod.

Installation:
1. Download and Unzip SteamStats_1.0.zip to your vbulletin installation directory so that the steamstats.php in the modules folder goes into your vbulletin_directory/modules/steamstats.php and steamstats folder goes to your vbulletin_directory/steamstats
Ex: home/public_html/steamstats
home/public_html/modules/steamstats.php

2. Open up steamstats/steamstats.php and on the top edit
"http://steamcommunity.com/groups/brotherhoodofgamers/" to match your own group's link.

3. Go to Admincp>Style Manager>headinclude
All the way at the bottom add:
4. Go to vbadvanced CMPS>add module>php file module.
Under file to include, choose steamstats.php
Use Module Wrapper Template, set to> NO

5. Save the module and add it to wherever you want to.

Any way to put this in the man forum sidebar or VB CMS sidebar?? I would love to use this but I don't run VBadvanced.

If you're talking about creating a widget, You could possibly use an iframe, can't think of any other way currently.

Where would the iframe point to?

I would also love to see this as a widget

I can't seem to get the steamstats.php to display anything at all, even if I point it as the Mod's Steam Group.

Is there some PHP setting I don't have set correctly?

I'd also love to see this functional within the vBulletin CMS system instead of vBA

Followed the instructions. No errors, it just won't show up. I went back and tried a 2nd time in case i overlooked something. Have you tested it on Vb4.0.6? I'm using CMPS v4.0.1

yes I use latest vbadvanced and latest vbulletin. It's still up on my site.

can you take a screenshot of the module settings page? I followed the instruction, not sure what the deal is. Seems like other people posted having issues with this mod as well. Might be an overlooked setting

There is no settings page.

I mean a screenshot of the settings you have on step 4.

It's default settings.

I can't get it to show on my site either. Are you sure all the files are correct?

hmm Ill check up on this tomorrow then, follow my own instructions to install it. See what's wrong.

Why are you hijacking my mod?

Is it possible that u can use this mod in the normal forum. Like underneath the forum stats?

I wouldn't say he hijacked it... just ported it for the CMS.

This doesn't work, btw. It never showed in the CMPS, so I navigated directly to the steamstats.php in my browser and it shows a 500 error.

If someone could make this mod work could you please post it because it seems like the developer has no intention of doing so. He only replies to this thread when someone "hijacks" his broke mod lol. This isn't working correctly on his site either.

Any work on this one still going on, I do not use VBAdvanced with 4+ so I would love to see this one work with the CMS, as of now I'm using the other one.....
