nah thats not it! howeve I actually like what u showed me so deff going to use that some where...thanks bro!
Does anyone know how to change the status icons for each sub forum? also how it shows the last post made in each section under the sub forum main names? |
well i see like 3 mods in that pic
so it depends on what mod is being used to control the images but more than likely there is a directory like images/misc/iconimages and inside like 40 images, from 1 to 40 you would probably just over write the image you want to change but if you mouse over an image right click and look at its properties it should tell you that information |
i looked in the directory and there is nothing. Obviously there is only one icon so if i added one pic it would over write all the icons.
thanks for ur help bro... anyone else know how to set up my forum like the pic above? |
is one icon showing because obviously one icon cannot be 20 differant icons :>
oh i thought that was your forum so I see subform manager mod an icon in threads both are available in the mods section in fact there are at least t3icon in threads mods i know of in here Elmer's and another one in template hacks is what i use its not one mod doing all that and this one --------------- Added 11 Jun 2010 at 11:06 --------------- and it looks like my images i posted in subforum hack :> |

heres a screen of mine setup in two columns
is that your board or not? either they have added columns to their threads or the have modified the subforum mod cause i think they have added icons to subforums also not just threads , which is kinda cool |

it's well done...i have a similar need, i thought the new version would make this easier, obviously that is no where near the case. :(
|
You can do it via forum options. Forums & Moderators > Forum Manager > Your forum
scroll to Prefix for forum status images. |
i was referring to the first post where the teams are lined up in columns with icons.
thanks |

OK so i did it, the screen you posted first doesn't really show the header or version or anything, so i couldn't tell if it was a forum category's hack or a sub forum categories hack
but i think its probably a sub forums hack so thats where i put it. I did find out some stuff it don't look good with big pics , the smaller the better and all have to be uniform in size. I didn't like the way it showed descriptions so instead of putting it in the page i used alt mouse over to show the forum description. little cleaner that way, and since i never saw the site i didn't know if the I'mages are click-able so i made mine click-able anyways :> heres a screen shot it needs some tables or something, as the names effect the next icons position. it can be done I can see that, but since im using VSA subforum hack to build on this is all i can do for now unless he decides to take it to a new level . so let me be clear, this is a separate template hack, but will not work unless you install vsa subforum manager to control it. I'm not posting code for all because I'm not going to support it. but if you want it to mess around with email me . screens of 4 columns or 8 haven't uploaded pics for all yet in the 8 screen |
