bad if i go to login http://www.ellinofatsa.gr

i see this 404 - File or directory not found.

only if i tab this http://www.ellinofatsa.gr/forums/forum.php

how can i fix that?

that must be htaccess doing that

so your fourms are in like user/public_html/forum/ ?

if so is there any index file in the root /user/public_html/ ?

htaccess in the root is hidden i think so you will have to either overwrite it with a blanck htaccess or you can go in and save a copy and delete it.

does any of that make sence to you?

i think what the deal is that you have messed up your index.php somehow

im going to send a new one its set to run like your is set up we will see what happens

first can you save a copy of that index.php file in root?

yes i have safe that index file

ok first of all before you do this , do you have vbseo or vbet installed?
if not you can upload the index.php file i have sent

you need to delete that index.php and upload the one im sending, you can also upload the file forumpath.php to the /forums/ folder if we need it it will give us the true path to your forums. we may not need it but you never know

for now what we are going to do is replace that index.php with one that will work ..we hope

you need to go to /forums/index.php

you will now save that file then delete it in /forums/not the new index in root

and the index.php that was in root/forums/ has been deleted ...correct

you will have to enable see hidden files to see it

still cant access the index.php file in root so it must have htaccess file , i hate to just write over it but if we have to we can just upload a blank file to root

so we better do something, Im not sure how you have access to your server , but if you have cpanel you will have a file manager, you should also have an advanced file manager

that one will allow you to see the files that are hidden. but I think we are going to have to get rid of that htaccess file anyway so im uploading a blank file that will write over the file and it will no longer be locking us out.

other than that this thing should now work.

if you have added my index,php file to root.... now dont use this htaccess file yet unless you cannot find the one on your server
with a file manager
also i think filzilla would show that file if it was there
but if you must use this blank file upload it to root also not root/forums/
where have you gone?

man i asked you if you ran vbet and you said no. but i was looking over your site and sure enough you have it installed..and google translator, this is going to cause trouble

thats the problem we are haveing its there htaccess files you need to upload your files back to the server and call vbet to have them work this out for you

i have do that bud the problem stey...maiby i have do anithing wrong;

you say this all started with a mod you instaled and then uninstalled

but i have seen this before, the problem is with your vbet trasnlator , if i was you i would put your index file back in root and you can replace the indexf file you saved from root/forums/ and call vbet, you will have to have one of their techs help you since i cannot

vbet is misconfigured since you uninstalled whatever mod you uninstalled
