This is the vBulletin 4 version. The vBulletin 3 version can be found here.

This is the product page for the Ultimate vBulletin Ventrilo Status product made by Crimm. It is a combination of these two products with; along with tons of requests. Links [1] [2]

This is the 4.1 release for vBulletin 4.X. Unlike it?s younger siblings, this Ultimate Ventrilo status mod ? Doesn?t require a certain host or host configuration! That?s right! You can host it on any type of server! See the Settings Explained section.

This script mod will display the status of a ventrilo server on your vBulletin forumhome or vBadvanced page. It will show users connected, channels, etc. Includes some customization and there's more to come! If you would like to request a feature, please see the link above. Here's some screenshots of what it looks like working:

http://crimm.me/wp-content/uploads/2...fo-142x300.png
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

It has multiple options from hosting it yourself where a script runs on your webserver and displays the status. This option gives the most flexibility. The next few options allow you to use external sources to display the same information, but you loose the flexibility of customization. More info on the settings can be found in the link above.

Please leave the link back to http://crimm.me for a little exposure. Thank you. If you need help tweaking it to make it smaller, color it, etc please let me know.

I'm working on the Publishing Suite install directions now - Expect it by tomorrow. I'm installing this afternoon (Just purchased :) )

Crimm 05-17-2010 05:26 PM

Also there has been a bug and feature requests already:

http://debugge.com/project.php?issueid=1 <-- Making the permissions for groups edittable fields
http://debugge.com/project.php?issueid=2 <-- Width issue

I'm working on those 2 plus one more for a future release coming soon.

Xencored 05-17-2010 05:35 PM

Awesome !! Tagged this baby for later :D
Thanks

Mastergumble 05-17-2010 05:40 PM

Can you explain a little more?

Do you mean with the CMS publishing suite with vB4? I'm working on those install instructions now. Expect them by tomorrow at the latest.

Do you mean with vBadvanced? If so, yes.

Do you mean to manually add to the forum as a template change? If so, yes.

Maybe I covered your question :)

Mastergumble 05-17-2010 05:47 PM

I mean add it as a widget block on the forum sidebar, should be the same as adding on the cms i think :)

Thanks for this release, pretty handy

Okay yeah, I'll have those instructions soon. I just purchased the CMS just now, so it'll be as soon as I get it installed and play with it a little :)

BlackThorn 05-17-2010 08:40 PM

Nice idea, thanks.

tlwwolfseye 05-18-2010 10:32 AM

Any chance to make that show up in a block of vBCMS (not the Suite!) ? Would appreciate that. ;)

Crimm 05-18-2010 01:56 PM

Again, it's on my todo list :) I should have a response for people today.

Xeyn 05-18-2010 02:44 PM

Cnt wait for forum block info:-)

I wanted to update everyone real quick.

I have figured out the best way to set it up as a Forum Block:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1274202265

I'll have those directions typed up and available for you guys soon.

Three issues you should be aware of:

1. Forum blocks cache, which is good for your board, but bad for this mod because it won't be real time. Remember when you make changes to the mods options you will have to purge the cache to see it.

2. CMS widget: I'm still having difficulty with getting it to work. Seems I may have to completely re-work some of the code to get it to output correctly. This will take me some time to get working, so you'll have to be patient with me... I have other work that has to be taken care of.

3. Forum block installation: It will be manual for this release. I'll figure out the best way to make it automatic in future releases.

I'll get back with you guys later today on #3.

Crimm 05-18-2010 05:20 PM

I think this will cover the steps of the Forum Block Install:

http://debugge.com/scripts/vbulletin...-3/epage7.html

CMS Widget instructions will be coming soon: http://debugge.com/scripts/vbulletin...-3/epage8.html

After I fight some bugs.

After I get these two down pat, and get the feature requests implemented... I'll automate all of this install process for the next version.

Let me know if anyone needs help on my site, twitter or here.

Mastergumble 05-19-2010 05:53 PM

Working great :)

Now one thing im wondering about size, if you have a long server with many channels / users a function to limit the block size and add a scroll bar funcion to view the rest.

Crimm 05-19-2010 07:20 PM

Scroll bar added to feature requests:

http://debugge.com/project.php?issueid=6

Next version will make sure to support it. Once I start working on it; if I see an easy way to tell you to do it... I'll PM you.

vilhiem 05-19-2010 08:08 PM

I would like to INTEGRATE Ventrilo into my Forum page ... so members could either (a) use the stand-alone application or (b) chat on the Forum website ... and everyone sees the same info.

Is that possible ...?

Thanks!!!

Crimm 05-19-2010 08:16 PM

You mean like USE ventrilo from your forum page?

Not that I could think of. Ventrilo isn't a web based application; therefore there isn't a way that I can think of to allow users to use it without it executing on their computer. Once it executes on their computer ... then it isn't integrated anymore.

Maybe some clarification?

vilhiem 05-19-2010 08:26 PM

I'm saying that Ventrilo has 'data' on a server somewhere, right ...?
Why can't that data be connected to either through the Ventrilo app for some users and through a website/forum interface for other users ... all able to chat while communicating via that same server. That's all (although this may be difficult to build).

Yeah that's going to be beyond a vBulletin mod. That's going to have to involve the Ventrilo developers:

blake247 05-20-2010 02:41 AM

Why not use this?

http://www.ventriloservers.biz/ventr...atus-code.html

It's free and can be used as a widget and/or forum block.

Feel free to.

My mod is a combination of a status script (http://ventrilo.com/dlprod.php?id=201) that runs on your web server and can be customized and controlled by you. It also gives the option to use other 3rd party sources.

It's your preference.

Crimm 05-20-2010 04:14 AM

Also with my mod, you'd be hosting yourself which is more reliable and secure than an iframe pointing back to ventriloservers.biz.

Also with my mod, hosting yourself in some arguments will speed up your site because you won't be reliant on ventriloservers.biz.

Again, though it comes down to a preference. I'm just creating a mod that will allow you integration with vBulletin options, have customization options, run on your own site, and support with feature requests.

Also, mine is free too, so I'm not sure why you said that last part.

tlwwolfseye 05-29-2010 02:31 PM

I really like it but before there isn't a vBCMS module I can use with this, I cant use it unfortunately and have to stick with the iFrame from Gametracker.com

Crimm 06-01-2010 01:13 AM

A vBCMS module is on my to do list. Just got back from vacation and I'm finishing another mod that I need for my website. Once that is complete; I'm going to add and update this mod :)

wobbly 06-11-2010 06:29 PM

Is there any way of altering your server hosted script font size at all?

wobbly 06-24-2010 03:28 PM

bump ^

Crimm 06-25-2010 12:23 PM

Sorry for the late reply. I'm buried in work.

I should be able to get with you today on that.

StokoE 08-23-2010 08:33 PM

Using right IP and port and still getting this:(

unknown22 08-24-2010 03:46 PM

It's not working on vbulletin 4.0.6 I installed it correctly??

Crimm 08-25-2010 02:18 PM

I've been buried in travel, and having a crazy work schedule.

@StokoE: I answered you over at Debugge

@unknown22: I haven't setup 4.0.6 yet, what error are you getting?

@wobbly: I'll give you a code snippet today, I promise :)

Again, my apologies for the delay.

unknown22 08-25-2010 05:08 PM

Hi,

Well i don't know if it's an error but it won't show up in the vbadvanced module i made i followed your tutorial. Where can i check for errors, like a file or something?

unknown22 08-28-2010 03:13 AM

anyone?

VancouverGamers 09-11-2010 02:24 AM

The file you have uploaded is not a valid module file.

is what Im getting when I try to add it to VBA

Crimm 09-20-2010 03:28 PM

What version of VBA are you using?

Like I said before, I've been just completely buried in work. Tonight/Tomorrow, I'll try to update my Development server and make updates, etc.

Let me know what version you are using, please.

Thanks!

Bouncer222 09-25-2010 03:46 AM

What issue are you having?

I just setup a fresh 4.07 and used my own install instructions and it's working fine. See screenshot.

As for those that are having vBadvanced issues: I'm setting up this fresh install just for you with the latest products so I can find out what's going on.

I know it's frustrating guys, but please bear with me. :)

Bouncer222 09-28-2010 06:51 PM

yeah vbadvanced is the issue.

Okay yeah I'm working on that issue right now.

vbadvanced doesn't seem to have changed releases since I released my mod, so not sure what's breaking things here.

I'll be in touch.

Crimm 09-28-2010 08:10 PM

I have a quick fix for those having vbadvanced issues where nothing is being displayed.

The issue is due to vbulletin install isn't creating the template: Why isn't it? I'm not sure. Here's a quick fix until I do.

Go to your Styles and Templates -> The template you are using -> Add new template.

Create a new template called: adv_portal_ventrilo
With this in the template: $output

I'm working on a new version with some new additions/options, etc and will have this fixed permanently with that fix.

Thanks for your patience!
