I aasume that you can save say a template of posts that you do and use this to post the same post without copy/paste or writing it all again

A few suggestions and issues.

Default to ON for admins when installing.

The default canned reply is blank in the dropdown. Should probably list something there like "-- Select --" or something, just so it's not blank.

When inserting a new reply, there's a leading carriage return even though there isn't one in the canned reply.

Categories. I'd like to be able to visually group things a little better as I'll end up having probably about 30 replies or so and I think around 5 different categories at this point.

Add this to the quick reply. The idea behind a canned reply (for me anyway) is that I need to do something quickly. Having to go to the advanced editor to do this somewhat defeats the ease of use.

Another suggestion:

Use something like {username} and {musername} to auto insert the recipients/readers username and such.

Found a bug: When inserting a canned reply with a single quote, the SQL query dies.

Another suggestion:

Shared replies.

Would be nice if there was a way specific usergroups could share their replies with others. Then list them in their own category or whatever.

When going to "Your Canned Replies" in user control panel, the borders for the 'My Messages' and 'My Subscriptions' is broken. Not really a big deal, but is there a way to fix this?

Perhaps you could add an <if condition> too disallow certain forums. . .

The above quote would be a big plus. I as well as my staff have been waiting for this to be ported over. Is there any known bugs that this doesn't work when you use it?

works wonderfully in threads... not at all for PMs (drop down is there but when canned reply is selected it does not show.) any suggestions to fix this issue?

Ok, I thought it was just me. =)

When I first installed the update, the dropdown appeared, but selecting anything in it, didn't work.

I did a force refresh on the page and then it started working.

Upgrade to v4.0.2 :)

BUG:
When editing canned replies in the user cp the header and navbar template breaks.
It does seem that additional.css settings are ignored.

Fixed in v4.0.3 (latest version)

Must say I like the addition of the "share canned reply" option in this version. :up:
