Step 1 - Upload all files/folders in folder "upload" into your forum root
Step 2 - Import XML file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]
product-slide_show_pro.xml

- Option to cPanel -> slide show pro
change parameters to suit forum

- Set the style to choose style. (With 8 styles)
- Width, height adjusted to suit the forum

Tip: If you want this in your CMS, just copy and paste the forum home page source into a static html widget.

Its very much "lonesome" in the middle of the forumhome with the location being "below nav"

It would be a lot better if it were adapted to sit within a widget (such as the flash driven slide display i have on my board) and location then determined via the choice of board.

I would love this mod if you could get the placement issue sorted.

Hey I have a good suggestion, as I lead a big community, its really time consuming for me to everytime have to update it through admincp through all those settings.

I use vbadvanced and I like the fact that when I post a thread in a certain forums such as news, it shows up on the home page.

Maybe you can make some bbcode tags so that for example you create a thread in a specified forum

[title] news title [/title]
[link] news link [/link]
[content] news content [/content]
[image] news image [/image]

and so on...

when the post is created, it will grab that info and if its too long or something, it will cut it off and maybe put an arrow in the slideshow or make it scrollable to read further? Or better yet... make it click "Read More" and clicking that takes you to the thread.

And images would also be resized.

This would be a very cool idea if you could do this!

Still no luck, it dont even look the same on my forums, maybe need someone to set it up for me and explain how to do it easier,lol

It is. I already paid for it so didn't care. I grabbed this mod to make adding/removing slides easier, but found it too limited as I can't have more than 4, and I can't position it where I want like I can without the mod using vBadvanced. It's pretty good for people that intend to use the Movies template anyway and don't mind the location it shows up on their page. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to use this probably actually go ahead and buy the script though from http://www.joomlaworks.gr/ since they are the ones that actually made it.

Can this be positioned on the CMS homepage under the Navbar?

I bought that script cause they said the standalone version had a standalone image uploader on their main page. After I paid and received it, the same day I messaged them that it didnt have a standalone uploader for the images and that I wanted a refund. They told me It was coming out 'next week'. I still asked for a refund until it came out and they ignored me. This was 3 years ago.

They lied on their site and scammed me and many others. Their site is full of people saying the same thing as me.

When it work in a widget, that would be perfect

On the note of this mod checking it out now, looks nice as it is. A combination of this with the other mod posted early in this thread would be a great addition.

Yeah. As mentioned, I'm still using the paid script as it allows me to position it where I want. But if someone comes up with the ability to position it in a module on vBadvanced AND incorporate a method of adding slides that is easier than editing data.php everytime, I will be your best friend. Minus the benefits.

It pulls threads out of the forums automatically and links to them.

Disadvantages of Corys:
Doesn't work well with css and current theme, not many different layout options



Advantages of this one:
Works perfectly with themes, many different options

Disadvantages of this one:
Doesn't automatically pull threads, everything is manually done.

Combining it would be an excellent solution.
