Apply layout to section
I read that you can apply a specific layout to a specific section but for the life of me I cannot find it. Could someone please direct me to the right place?
Thanks ahead --------------- Added [DATE]1271265028[/DATE] at [TIME]1271265028[/TIME] --------------- Ok I figured it out, what I am having an issue with now is the columns are so close together, I need a resolution to add spacing between each column. http://www.thecatholicforum.org/cont...147-affiliates |
You don't allow guests to see your page.

Lynne: Could you check again please? I gave viewing to guests all around so I don't know if I am missing a setting or what. If need be I will provide a screenshot.
|
I still can't see it (I can see Welcome, About Us, and News though). A screenshot won't help because I'm sure your issue is css and you can't do css based on a screenshot.

PM'd you my personal login info. If others reply I will put up a test account.

You can probably just add this to the grid css or additional.css:
Code:
.yui-tvb-l50 { |
That worked, now how can I get it to be fluid instead of fixed like it is. Its left aligned and not going across the entire page like it should.
|
Well, if I recall, you set the middle box to only be 40%. I would guess you would want that to be more since the other two are 24%. And, then I would guess you would want to set the left/right margin of the whole div to auto.
|
Ok so how would I change the width? I have looked through and played with things in the css templates as well as the vbcms templats as well as the grid templates. Alas I'm still unable to get the width to change.
|
Try:
HTML Code:
.yui-tvb-l50 { |
Thanks Lynne, that got it. Not as far but a few pixels smaller won't really make or break the site. LOL

Hi Steve,
You mentioned that you figured out how to "apply a specific layout to a specific section". I'm still having this same problem ... so, how's it done ...? Thanks! Vilhiem |
Go to the content page, the link should be: yourdomain.com/forum/content.php?111/edit
Notice the edit at the end. Then on that page, find the drop down to choose a custom layout. If you haven't then create a new layout and arrange your widgets how you want for the page then go back to that edit page and select your new layout. Then save and done. |
