DESCRIPTIONS:
A very simple but might be useful modification to show the exact
activity location of each active online users to your
postbit and postbit legacy showthread template page.

PROCEDURE: INSTALLATION

  • (1) Product To Upload Via:
    Acp > Plugins & Products > Manage Products > Add/Import Product
  • (1) Simple Template To Edit/Add Something Via:
    Acp > Styles & Templates > postbit or postbit_legacy template

Max Install Time: (2) min.

PROCEDURE: UNINSTALL

  • (1) Product To Uninstall Via:
    Acp > Plugins & Products > Manage Products > Click Dropdown Arrow > Select Uninstall > Go
  • (1) Simple Template Code To Delete Via:
    Acp > Styles & Templates > postbit or postbit_legacy template > Find/Delete Added Code > Save

Hi Kurtz...that is possible....just use some conditional that can be found HERE


or if you dont want to show only yours as admin then use like this and insert your user id

Tested it locally and it adds no querie :)

I just checked your used plugin and I guess this can be improved.

How can I change the default currentactivity, to something else? I need to use a spanish phrase. I tried changing the phrase in the template edit, but the mod wouldn't work with an altered wording. :(

hi....just do a phrase search....for current_activity
  • Search For text: current_activity
  • Product: Postbit User Current Activity
  • Search in: Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name

Click Find > Edit > Copy Default Text > Change > Save

hope it helps....and dont forget to...

Mark/Click Install-Nominate-Rate

I installed this using Postbit. Found the code to place your code below just fine BUT nothing is showing up. I see there's an "if" statement. Is there somewhere I am supposed to Enable this by any chance?

Oops. That was supposed to be a response for the post Mod for Last activity and date.

I haven't gotten this one to work. I definitely don't want the code above the Avatar, I want down below the post amount and tried putting the code there and every post in my forum gets messed up

Actually, it works without problems. Autor made dependencies for this mod limited to max version 4.0.99, but you just need to delete max version dependency to void, like this:

<dependencies>
<dependency dependencytype="vbulletin" minversion="4.0.0" maxversion="" />

Edit the product code, find this and you can use it on any version you like. I'm using it right now on version 4.1.2.

Working perfectly onto vb 4.1.3.

With simple changes.

Open product-postbit_user_current_activity.xml

Find:

Code:
<dependency dependencytype="vbulletin" minversion="4.0.0" maxversion="4.0.99" />
        </dependencies>
Change to:

Code:
<dependency dependencytype="vbulletin" minversion="4.1.3" maxversion="4.2.99" />
        </dependencies>
Save and import onto cpanel.

Well, who knows, maybe this would work even after 4.2.x. In my experience this type of mods could work very long time as they use pure PHP code. I'm using similar mod (latest activity and latest post time) from vB3.6. Also, your modification to dependency blocks mod for version earlier to 4.1.3. Some of us still use earlier versions. :)

works perfectly in Vb 4.2.opl3.

just by using the following conditional:

That way you can put as many groups of users you want.

You can also just leave your moderators with access:

Just to confirm, if you edit the product xml file and update the version support, this addon works fine on vB 4.2.2.

If it shows nothing, make sure you are editing the correct postbit template.
