I would like to give a huge thanks to Vaupell for letting me use his code as a template. It was a huge help to me. This is my first real mod that I have made so any feedback would be wonderful. To Do:
|
*Update 1.1
I found a small mistake with the myspace code. I had left off the address when I was debugging. This has now been fixed. Just overwrite the old product file with the 1.1 product file. *Update 1.2 I added Paul M.'s mod removal code and I also added version numbers to the file as well. *Update 1.3 For users that have forums in a forum directory, the image code in the product file was causing the images not to show up because, it wasn't looking in the right directory due to a "/" on the front of the image code. This has now been tested and corrected. *Update 1.4 Added YouTube Groups. You can now add the "Follow Us" box anywhere by using <!-- {FOLLOWUS} --> in any template. You can now control the size of the images and the content box. Enjoy! *Update 1.5 Updated product code to work with vB 4.0.7 - ( Work is in progress on creating options to enable and disable different parts of the mod. ) |
Wery nice, i know a board who was looking for something like this..

How i can display it just below the navbar !
I also want this in my lading page. that is content.php page, one where you publish articles |
Same thing as my mod, but its products :) Good work though.
|
Also, is it possible to reduce the size, its taking too much space. I would love to have 3 small icons just near sign in area
Thanks |
the box is displayed on the top, right above forum and under header as well as on bottom.
Is it possible to have it displayed only on bottom? have uninstalled for now. |
Could there be a spot for a YouTube group? That would make this great.
|
Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I'm on my blackberry right now. But I will be home later today and I will try to answer everyones questions. Also I will add some more options to the code to where you can control more of the size. I will also add the youtube icon as well. Lots of changes to come in 1.4 :)

Great mod! But I'll wait until the option to turn off unneeded links is available. Renaming the graphics files leave an ugly red X with a broken (unused) link. It makes it look like a part of my site doesn't work properly.

where is youtube group image ?

Was just about to ask the same question.. No youtube image ..
|
there are a million youtube images. :-)
I just added one myself but it does not show up. Is the path set correctly and what does the image name need to be ? I have it as youtube_follow_us.png thanks. |

this is simply the base image for youtube. Note this is a jpeg and I am doing a search of png file now. I suspect that was why it did not show up even though I changed the name.

I uploaded a folder that has new image sizes in it. The sizes are in different folders. This way you can use smaller size images if you need to and they will still look great! Sizes: 48x28 and 95x55 |
Very nice idea, and I plan to install it as as soon as a new version is released that gives me the option of turning options off without removing images. I don't think that's too healthy, but your work is indeed appreciated!

Also, if it isn't too much trouble could you please add the option to only apply this mod for a specific style. I don't wish for this mod to be active for every style that I have installed. Thank you |

So for 1.5 I was able add in a controls to allow you to disable things like twitter, myspace ect. But the Only issue I have is that now, I can't do it with the content box. So I would like to ask everyone if they would be ok with that option?
So now you would have the 4 images or less if you wanted, but with no box around all of them. |
What do you exactly mean by context box? Are you referring to the whole collapsible box that integrates into the template style - inside which the social network images reside? If yes, then I wouldn't not want to use this mod... It would be very tacky in my opinion to just place this images without the content box.
