1 Attachment(s)
Hello

it's not Mod just small edit

I'm sorry if this way is common to most of you:D

change font size & weight for forumdisplay thread title and sticky thread title

go to Admin CP >>>Styles & Templates>>>Search Templates

choose ur style from (Search in Style) and type in search box (Additional.css) then click find

Double click on Additional.css (it's empty file usually )

if u want change font size for the normal thread title and sticky thread title add this lines

Code:

.threadbit .title {font-size:13pt;}
.sticky a.title {font-sizet: 13pt;}

change 13 to any font size u want

if u want make the font weight for normal thread title or sticky thread

Code:

.sticky a.title {font-weight: bold;}
.threadbit .title {font-weight: bold;}

(in the example picture) i just add

Code:

.threadbit .title {font-weight: bold;}

welcome all...

Installed do you know the CSS Edit to change the color and make it bold only when it is a new post?

sKippah 03-21-2010 08:36 PM

Simple but effective ;) Thx

Very much appreciated. Does anyone know how I can change my Forum Description text, to become larger? I have changed every stylevar that indicates font size to no avail.

You can see that the descripton for each forum is way smal compared to sub forum categories at http://www.whiphookandpaddle.com/Forum/forum.php

That was what I was looking for when I found this very fine suggestion.

Much Thanks

Otter

Thanks a bunch.

How would I make the same change for the Forum Home "last thread" title as well?

warezgen.com 07-15-2010 12:18 AM

thanks

mosz 08-13-2010 08:23 AM

very nice, thx you, I use it on my one vB forum

Hammertime 08-13-2010 09:28 PM

So when using this how do you tell what threads have new posts and which don't?

adhari_com 09-07-2010 12:25 PM

Very useful and looked for it everywhere. The vB4 StyleVars is just another additional confusion to that already was in the previous version.

I really think we should a transitional phase, or at least an auto converter as a temp solution! I've spent alot of time just to rebuild an online forums "while" in production server.

The forum admin almost decided to go for other Software.

Thanks again :)

phoenix1977 10-19-2010 05:23 PM

This edit have effect for SEO?

DannyITR 12-23-2010 07:55 PM

Is there any possible way to have a font selection that matches the vbulletin 3 size and font? I can't stand the smaller vb 4 font.

RichieBoy67 12-23-2010 08:39 PM

Go into editor.css I believe it is and add a font size to editor_textbox textarea, Like this font-size: 14px; at the bottom... That is how I made mine bigger.. Very easy..

DannyITR 12-23-2010 09:11 PM

Thank you. Does anyone know the exact way to match the VB3.0 font?

i realise this is an old thread but i had a similar problem that i ended up solving and this may help someone else.

i wanted to add a font called 'confused root' so simply added this to my additional.css after uploading the .ttf file to images/

Code:

@font-face { font-family: YOUR FONT; src: url('images/YOUR FONT.ttf'); }
