[DBTech] InfoPanels v2 (vB4) [AJAX]

1 Attachment(s)
DragonByte Technologies are proud to present InfoPanels Lite v2: The most feature-packed Welcome Panel system for vBulletin.

Why InfoPanels?

Info Panels is another product from DragonByte Technologies, creators of vBActivity and vBShout. Info Panels allows you to display useful and interesting information in a much more user friendly way, allowing your members to access important areas of the forum, and important information, without having to go through different menu screens.

The Top X Stats portion of the software allows your users to keep track of whats going on in the forum almost in real time - perfect for boards with many forums which are hard to keep track of!

The Welcome Panel displays all the information your users may want to see instantly when they log on, without having to go searching for it.

In addition, there are many improvements and upgrades to the What's happening and Forum statistics blocks.

Just installed, but I get this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare construct_usercp_nav() (previously declared in /home/public_html/includes/functions_user.php:18) in /home/public_html/includes/functions_user.php on line 288

That can't be related to this mod, because it makes no references to that function (or even, that file).
It only runs on forumhome.

archet1337 03-15-2010 11:44 PM

I get the error with the InfoPanels mod enabled. When I disable it, the error disappears. So in some way it has to be related?

DragonByte Tech 03-15-2010 11:51 PM

On what page do you get the error, then?

Fillip

archet1337 03-16-2010 12:06 AM

I get the error on forumhome if i'm logged in. If i'm viewing the forum as a guest I am able to load the page, but all the infopanels boxes are stuck on loading... and i get this page error:

The JS error is due to a small SNAFU in the zip file; I've uploaded a fixed one.
I also found the cause of that error, it's been fixed as well.

Just re-download the zip and re-upload all files (no need to import the XML again) and everything should be right as rain.

In my defence, the "redeclare" error is due to another mod doing the same thing I did, so it's not all my fault! :p

Hilsen fra Halden i ?stfold :)

archet1337 03-16-2010 12:26 AM

Hmm, This is weird. I still get the same error.

Hilsen fra Stavanger forresten :)

DragonByte Tech 03-16-2010 12:31 AM

How about if you change line 185 of /dbtech/infopanels/includes/hooks/forumhome_complete to
Code:

require_once(DIR . '/includes/functions_user.php');

archet1337 03-16-2010 12:40 AM

Sweet stuff. Working as intended now!

Thanks a lot. Rated Excellent, Marked Installed + Nominated :)

DragonByte Tech 03-16-2010 12:48 AM

Okay then. I didn't think the _once would be needed, but I guess so.

I'll update the zip for future installs. Thanks for your help :D

Fillip

ChopSuey 03-16-2010 02:52 AM

You haven't upload it yet

Juggernaut 03-16-2010 03:02 AM

Yes, I was looking to download the file as well. :)

Jackie1 03-16-2010 03:20 AM

where is the download file?

VonDoom 03-16-2010 03:34 AM

haha tagged for when updated file is uploaded. ;)

tafreeh 03-16-2010 04:27 AM

this is pretty good.. but i do not want to share, top stats and whats going on stuff with everyone... is there anyway, i can just use welcome panel ?

AzzidReign 03-16-2010 07:22 AM

Thank you! Nice mod.

Hornstar 03-16-2010 09:54 AM

tagged for when I upgrade. thanks.

DragonByte Tech 03-16-2010 10:08 AM

No idea why the zip file vanished, added it now.

It's currently not possible to disable the Top X Stats, but all the other bits can be disabled individually.

We are looking at allowing admins/users to enable/disable different blocks (and even information lines) in pro v1.1

You can kill the contents of the _topxstats template to remove that output.

Fixed, import new XML from the zip and then you can uninstall.

rizelim 03-16-2010 05:42 PM

thank you ! @ DragonByte Tech

Matt Slick 03-16-2010 06:35 PM

Unless I missed it, can it be set to be at the bottom of the forums instead of the top? That'd be a great help.

DragonByte Tech 03-16-2010 06:44 PM

Not currently, no. But that will be a feature in the next version :)

Fillip

Juggernaut 03-16-2010 09:04 PM

I have a request also, can you exclude usergroups from being counted in the top poster and/or top thread starter count? :D

Mastergumble 03-16-2010 09:12 PM

Would be nice a disable function to show stats, and option to move to bottom.

Nice mod

Coming in the next feature release, though it may become a Pro feature, I'm not sure about that.

Both will come in the next feature release :)

Juggernaut 03-17-2010 12:08 AM

It would also be great if this could be displayed in the portal instead of the forum page, like a widget, especially the welcome (username) stats :)

Da-Vinci 03-18-2010 09:03 PM

How would I move the welcome message and top 5 stats below the Whats Going On box

I tried this in the xml file but it didn't work.

HTML Code:

{vb:raw ad_location.global_above_footer} = $panels . $ad_location['global_above_footer'];

That's not currently a planned feature, but it may get added in the future.

The correct code is this:
PHP Code:

$ad_location['global_above_footer'] = $panels $ad_location['global_above_footer'];

Fillip

Juggernaut 03-19-2010 06:49 PM

One last question, can the Top 5 stats be disabled? :)

DragonByte Tech 03-19-2010 07:07 PM

You will be able to disable them in the next version, which is coming Soon (TM) :)

Fillip

DragonByte Tech 03-21-2010 12:14 PM

v1.1.0 has just been released, which lets you individually disable the Top X Stats and Welcome Panel portions of the mod, should you wish that.

Additionally, the Pro version has also been updated to implement the most requested features in this thread :)

Is there a way to make this work with CMS as well?

Edit: I have figured out the widget part, I just need to set the hook location. Any ideas on what to use?

Have attached a screenshot on how it looks now.

Also, DBT, I woudn't mind helping you out with a small donation towards your brilliant work if I can get this thing working :)
