If your screen resolution is 1024x768 or smaller you wont be able to see it. I dont design for small resolutions.

Kolbi 03-13-2010 10:48 AM

Nice hack :)

Tagged it for future use :)

voglermc 03-13-2010 12:39 PM

In my style, it left a right column the width of this hack all the way down my forumhome. It also did not remove the previous login/register area.

Not complaining but it would be nice if this was a replacement, not and addition

I would be more than happy to help you out. I would need a link to your forum. Also marked as installed usually motivates me :)

A small screen size just prevents you from viewing my forum fully, it doesn't mean you cant use this mod ;)

Please take a look. www.favormob.com/forum.php

This is a great mod and I love it if this could be fixed. Nominated and installed!

Also after installing I still have the "Help" tab in the top right corner. Any way to remove this as well?

Help Tab: www.favormob.com

Thank you again. Really great mod I hope to use if I can fix these issues.

Your forum looks fine. I left the help tab up there incase anyone still wanted it. You can remove it by:

Open template "header"

Find and remove

Code:

                <vb:else />
                        <ul class="nouser">
                                <li><a rel="help" href="faq.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">{vb:rawphrase help}</a></li>
                        </ul>

LifesGreatestGift 03-13-2010 09:23 PM

My appologies. Open template

additional.css

Find and remove:

Code:

#content {
    width:520px;
    min-height:500px;
}

Will upload corrected mod soon.

MalluParadise 03-13-2010 09:31 PM

working perfect 4 me !

LifesGreatestGift 03-13-2010 09:33 PM

If you have installed the initial release (version 1.00) read post #2 for upgrade/update instructions. If you have downloaded and installed v1_1 (aka 1.1) then you are fine.

Can someone post what it looks like when logged in?

my site is http://tarheelminis.org

I uninstalled this and just might take a second stab at it later

LifesGreatestGift 03-13-2010 10:27 PM

It looks normal when logged in nothing changes. All the original notification, logout etc links are there. This is just a new style/look for logging in :)

dejanl 03-14-2010 01:00 AM

betts02 03-14-2010 10:15 AM

archet1337 03-14-2010 02:22 PM

Installed and working great!

Would it be possible to have the top links and info when logged in located at the same place below the navbar as the login/register buttons are now?

Markos 03-14-2010 02:48 PM

installed works great :)

PukkaBen 03-14-2010 07:48 PM

Tagged for use later!! As soon as I get back on my PC I shall install this, looks great!!

Daryn 03-14-2010 10:03 PM

Hey, I really love the look of this. Got it installed on my test forum for now and I'm wondering what to edit to change the colors of the username/password fields?

EDIT: Nevermind, I saw that note next to Mark as Installed.

Kolbi 03-15-2010 08:50 PM

I destroyed my test forum with using your mod?!?

archet1337 03-15-2010 09:36 PM

Probably shouldn't be necessary to ask, but did you backup before installing?

Installing any mod without backup is like playing russian roulette with your forum.

I have this mod installed and it's working perfectly on 4.0.2 PL1

Still looking for an addon for this mod to make the logged in info display at the same place as the "twitter" style buttons though :)

paulbhoy 03-15-2010 09:53 PM

hey great mod, but I have a question.

Instead of having the login box below the navbar, I would like it in the header like the original log in box. Is there anyway to do this, I tried just pasting the code where the old code was, it didnt work.

Team_RCRR 03-16-2010 02:57 AM

Love the mod but I wanna know how you got the chat and bottom bar on your forum ;)

cloferba 03-16-2010 04:04 AM

does this work with all navigators?

CallFire 03-16-2010 07:22 AM

Any ideas how to add this to other pages? I use the CMS as my main landing page and would like to display it there.

Kolbi 03-16-2010 10:44 AM

@archet1337 As I sad I tried it on a local test forum.

I don't know about all browsers, but it's working with the 4 browsers I'm using (FireFox 3.6, IE 8.0 (64bit), Chrome 4.0 and Opera 10.10)

buiquockhanh 03-16-2010 01:18 PM

Hah, this ^ :D

intospain 03-17-2010 07:39 AM

If I click login too quickly on FF it goes to domain.com/login/ - with error message saying "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /login/ on this server." If you do it once the oage is loaded then it works fine. Have tested in Opera, Chrome and Safari which don't seem to have the same problem as Firefox.

Anyone have any ideas how to get around this?

Don't want people going to my site only to come to a forbidden page when they go to login.

LifesGreatestGift 03-17-2010 03:44 PM

check your .htaccess file, see where your 404 directs to.
