https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showt...=217564&page=6
The Evid Green style (3.8.4) by Sofia is awesome. Is anyone interested in updating this style so it's compatible w/ 4.0 + CMS. |
I can give it a shot if you want ;)

This is currently what the header looks like. I might tweak it a little bit more to try to get it to match anymore if I can.
Are you still interested? I don't wanna waste too much time if you don't like it :P |
Please be aware that you can not redistribute a style created by someone else without permission from the original author.
|
That makes sense. But how do you get permission from the original author? She turned her IMs/Messages off. Otherwise I would've emailed her first. :)
Safe Stars - yes I'm very interested. Maybe you can just use her theme as a starting point and make it your own, so you're not breaking any rules. :) |

If it is marked as Re-usable, then the author already gives permission.
|
Yeap it is.
shamrox, I'll continue work on it today. |
sweet.
wondering if the 4.0 forum and cms use the same style files? or are they separate? I already have 4.0.2 forum installed, still debating upgrading to the cms (another 250 bucks *ouch*) cant wait to see how it looks safestars! |
The styles are generally the same you just have to make a few more tweaks for the CMS to match on some more defined colors.
|
Ah ok....makes sense! Cant wait to see how it looks on 4.0. You're going to make a lot of people happy for updating this style. Thanks. :)
|
I'll have a full main forum view for you to look at tonight ;)

I commend your effort in porting one of Sofias styles to vB4, she has talent in designing the skins and it is a shame that she has not logged in for some time, but that's just the way it goes.
I would reccommend getting rid of the line of transparency between the navbar and the forum body, there is an easy way to do this, but I cannot remember for the life of me what it is, I think it involved the ad_header_end hook in the header template, and a
tag which needed moving down. I would also recommend moving the vBulletin copyright into the body, below the footer links bar, and changing the footer text to #666666 so that it's easy to read. Hope that helps, and I'm looking forward to seeing this released  btw, sofia is on twitter ;) |
Sofia posted in another thread....said she's too busy and will not be working any more with VB. She gave the OK to upgrade her styles. :)
