Database error

Seems to be working ok for me although the description isn't displayed in Google yet, but Isuppose that could take 24 hours or so.

It works but google isn't showing the variables? it's showing ell the words but not the variables it changed in google within a hour,

heres what i have, any idea why it's not working?

guys, it could take two or three weeks to be included in google, if its been a long time since you changed your META descriptions.

if you dont change it regularly, google has no need to check it frequently, thats what this hack really achieves (apart from looking cool).

just check the source code of your live website, if the numbers appear in that, then your good.

No it changed for me in google straight away, but it;'s not including the varibles, it shows like this is google without the numbers

any chance you've got Valters top stats plugin installed? I found out last night that this breaks my one///

ok, if you disable it, the extra vars work straight away. I will find out where the problem lies and resolve it.

will probably get that update out on Monday/Tuesday (Im sorting out the my autolink plugin extra features first).

Could 1 possible solution be putting it on the /content page instead of the /forums page?

In no way am I trying to make this modification look bad, I just want some clarification, as I've read the opposite.

I use this on my meta description, the article you copy and pasted is about the meta title.

two different things.

the meta description is NOT a ranking factor, its use is to increase CTR. With this mod however you can also increase the spider frequency on your site as it has live pricing information.

possibly, but I dont have that enabled at all, so if you can test it and let us know that would be great, but I use a modified wp installation for my CMS.

by the way, there is nothing stopping you from using it in your title tag, I seriously doubt you would get any penalty, but its less useful there anyway.

should I just append the code to the headinclude or should I replace new code with this:

you should replace the code currently in your headinclude file, as per the instructions - Im not sure what you are getting at with the code snippet above, just stick to whats in the instructions, get it working, then go from there.

Whats the difference between the gold ones, and the free ones here on vb.org?

1) they are branding free
2) fully supported in a private members area at seoforums.org
3) all new feature development is exclusively for the paid versions, the free versions will now get bug fixes, unless something is deemed absolutely necessary.
4) personalised seo advice from me, if you want it that is!

there's a bug.
When you have vbseo + vbseo sitemap 2.6 installed and visit www.yourdomain.com/vbseo_sitemap/ you will get the following error: Warnung: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in [path]/global.php(29) : eval()'d code (Zeile 62)
and you can't login to vbseo_sitemap Panel.

more of a bug with the vbSEO sitemaps plugin it would appear to me, especially given their fix for it is on their side:

I will see if there is anything I can to to avoid this conflict, but it looks like its their product that causes this (hence why they released a bugfix, several years ago!)

Which version of vbulletin are you on?
i'm on vb4.0.2 & sitemap 2.6 and i don't get any error

FYI: Im on 4.0.2 and sitemap 2.5, with no errors...

Does 2.5 still work on vb4? i thought i read somewhere that it didn't thats why they released the 2.6 beta? i could be mistaken but you should check that it's still creating new sitemaps since you upgraded

The cited thread is for vBSEO Sitemap version 2.0, nor for 2.6, which is what he is using. Anything less than 2.6 is not compatible with vBulletin 4.x.

I will check what Im running now, although I thought it was 2.5
