Must add domain to whitelist?
I was able to edit templates fine.. then all of the sudden it won't let me save (or revert back to original template). I get this message:
In order to accept POST request originating from this domain, the admin must add this domain to the whitelist.Any clue? |
In your vBulletin Options, add your domain name to the Post Referrer Whitelist. That should correct the problem.

Can you not access the Admin CP directly?

So your saying that saving settings in the Admin CP still takes you to the domain whitelist message? That's odd. I assume you haven't already tried saving that particular settings just to see if it sticks?

I almost forgot, you should be able to get your host to add the domain to their whitelist. Or you might have a setting for it if you have cPanel.
|
But the domain is created via their hosting service. Why would they not be on its own acceptable domain list?
|
That doesn't mean that by default, the domain has been accepted to allow all POST requests. I had to add mine to the whitelist as well, as I have more than one domain on the server.

NVM. I just un-added the domain from my host.. and then added it back. Re-installed the vbulletin (but did nothing with the databases.. used the same databases). And then while it was WORKING went and quickly added subdomains in question to white list. PITA but I hope it fixed everything in the long run.
Still don't understand why it stopped working to begin with! |
