This is the nomination thread for Board of the Month of April 2010.

Let me reiterate the rules for this thread:

• Only post nominations or seconds, no chatter.
• All seconds are to be placed in 1 post, with a max of 3.
• All seconds should include the word "second" or "+1".
• All posts must be in English.

Please abide by these rules or your post will be removed.



Nominations will be accepted until the 31st of April 2010.

When nominating please post the site name, URL to the forum, a short description what makes your board stand out from default vBulletin, and a reason for nomination that will motivate others to second the nomination. If the staff feels that a nomination post is too promotional it will be edited accordingly.

Any sites without a name, URL, description and reason for nomination will NOT be entered into the poll. Please ensure that your nomination is in the format:

When seconding sites, please ensure that you use the same post for the maximum of 3 allowed seconds. Any seconds not located in your first seconding post will not be counted. If there is no name or URL provided then the post will be ignored when the nominations are counted.

Reason for Nomination: The massive SEO customisations done to the board, that have resulted in it ranking 2nd for "seo forum" after just three months from being setup, and already having well over a thousand unique visitors a day just from google organic. This board is truly an organic search marketing demonstration of intent.
I have:
* Hand built the theme,
* built custom plugins for SEO,
* built extensions for lots of other things I though necessary,
* built a wordpress theme around the vB template,
* built a custom SEO tools section as well.

Reason for Nomination: This is a heavily customised vBulletin install, featuring many unique features:

• Custom coded CMS using vBulletin
• Species Database plugin created
• Custom designed template

Most importantly, we hope that Living Reefs is a friendly place to be, where all reef aquarium enthusiasts are able to ask questions and discuss the hobby, no matter what their experience level. :)

Reason for Nomination: We incorporated our own CMS built on kohana framework on top of VB4 forums & cms. It fully integrates with VB4 cms, forums, a gallery script and a wiki script. There are more than +5000 members and the sites is around 6 months old.

Reason for Nomination: This is a heavily customised vBulletin theme, the most radical design for 4.0.2 that i have seen yet.

Its a growing board for freelancers to discuss design, programming and seo.
