Custom Page (Lite Version)
 

Lite Version

The lite mod attached here will add only one basic custom page at your forum.

Installation: Upload the custompage.php to your forum root and the includes folder inside the mod package to your forum 's include folder and import the xml file through the Plugins & Products at your Acp.


Premium Version

You can view screenshots below of a more advanced version that will allow you to add unlimited php and html custom pages to your forum.

At the premium version you can add unlimited pages and manage them with ease from the mod settings in the Acp.

For each page you can do the following:

1) Enable/disable

2) Enter the url name. That is what will appear in the browser.

3) Choose the type of the page, php or html. You can also use smilyes and bb codes.

4) Enter the Nabar Link Name. You have also the option to show the custom page tab/s in the navigation bar or not. If you choose for No, you will have to either add it manually yourself or through the Navigation Manager.

5) Enter the breadcrumb name.

6) Enter the title of your custom page.

7) Enter the content of your custom page. You can use php and html.

Use the $output variable to output the php code.

8) Open the custom page in a new window.

9) You can also restrict a group/groups per each custom page from viewing it.

10) Set the page appearance order.

Also the users browsing the custom pages will appear at the online list.

I now updated the hack with an extra option of adding a custom message title in case someone wants to use this as a simple introductory homepage.

Thats alot of work when in 3.8 there was a mod which made the pages for you

The beauty of the custom page is then you can use it for almost anything. When I first created it, I was planning to use it as a homepage for my new forum. Plus like this it is much easier and handier than doing it manually.

would it be possible to integrate some PhP in the page?
to create form for instance??

I had to run over to w3c to jog my memory about the image code for html. Other than that, a little formatting and I'll be good to go.

Ok let's get offical:
Slid right in following instructions. Takes about 2 minutes to install.
ACP control is simple and straight forward.
Works as advertised.

Only complaint:
Can ya move the tab over to be the last one on the right? It parks it right in beween the home and forum tabs.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestion. The mod is updated to include the move of the custom page button to be the last on the right. I also added an extra setting at the acp.

Hey OP, Is there anyway to delete the tab it made? I am using for Google Search to display on? Can yo u tell me how to remove the tab

If you uninstall the mod it will remove the tab automatically. But if for some reason it didn''t do that, then try to import the xml file again and then un-install it again.

Actually I don't want to remove the add-on. I just want the tab to be disabled

i.e if a user dont have permission to view this custom page he gets automatically redirected to forum index page ?

Please update this mod .. I am using 4.0.3 version of vbulletin .

It works for vb 4.0.3 as well. Atm if a person doesn''t have the permission to view the page they will get the standard no permission message.

Yeah so we can make more than one maybe a tab system at the top in Admincp..

So you click on to edit and you have a drop down to make a new page, and then when you save you get a tab to you can easly edit it..

why not add extra fields along with text area for those fields to be added.

I see no reason installing this just for one page...

Yes, can only create just one page with this and I don''t plan to expand it either due to lack of free time. So if you don''t like it then don''t use it. I don''t really care one way or the other what you do.

I have everything upload to my Server. And the Tab appears on my forum, however when I click on "Custome Page I get this error
Not Found

The requested URL /custompage.php was not found on this server.

How can set up this page to be the hompage of your forum? Any help appreciated.

Small bug, if you set a usergroup not to see the page the tab is still showing but access error is shown when accessing it. I guess better is not to show the tab at all.
Also when you disable the mod tab is still showing.

I understand you have limited time for this but just in case you find some and want to update the mod. Thanks for the mod, might come in handy if I figure out how to set it up as the homepage of forum.
