What Does This Hack Do?

This MOD allows you to add Paypal Subscriptions Buttons/Buy Now Buttons
to an advertisement page, allowing you visits/Sponsors
to advertise on your site,

this mod is for use with advertising in admincp


This should work with other Services like worldpay etc.. although this has not yet been tested to see if they have a generator for html buttons to add payments/subscriptions to existing site


vBulletin Version Compatibility

This hack can only be used with v4.0.0 and later versions.

Interesting. I installed it and I think it might work and I'll buy the pro when it comes out. I don't understand how to locate the banners around the forum though. Did I totally miss something or is this just meant as an easy way to obtain payments and I manually add the banners around the site?

basically in vb4 there is an option for you to include Advertising in Admincp

Admincp >> Advertising >> Add new Ad

this was instead of you adverting your own stuff from your own site
you can give an opportunity to allow our customers to pay you to advertise there own links

in pro i will be adding 5 sections which is more complex and time consuming


is there anything else i can help with ?

Sorry, maybe I have stumbled onto and misunderstood this mod. I'm kinda new to this.

I have a site that is the v3.8+ and I found an old hack that let me have a vertical row of 100x50 banners on the right that rotated in random locations and one that had a 468x60 at the top of the forum.

i will be releasing another lite version for 2 sections only the pro will include 5 sections for the use to choose from

the pro version will take between 1 - 2 weeks maybe a whole weekend
due to occupational health this will take a little longer and would appreciate any feedback on addtional sections that you would liek to see

It would have been nice if it was all automated and I only had to approve of the ad.

eg. User chooses the ad spot they want, clicks on next and they enter in some information (Name, location, email, etc.) They then enter in the link/text/upload banner etc. They then click on the pay now button and subscribe.

Then all I would need to do is to approve of their ad through the admincp.

But yours is a step in the right direction. Thanks.

i would need to reqrite some on the vbulletin code to do with, however i am not that experience to do so, it would cause alot of security issues with MySQL etc...
once i go PRO i may hire a TEAM to help do this

Any chance of integrating with this mod?
Maybe possibly making it an unlimited amount of banners that can be rotated or at least bumpping it up to like 50 banners?

the idea of this mod is to use it with your existing advertise section of admincp
your customers choose where they want to advertise, then pay for it

you can change the text in the template to suite your own needs

however the pro version is simpler to understand

this mod does not integrate with anything other than reminding yourself to change the value when there is enough spaces left

you will need to test how many your board can handle and what sizes you with them to advertise they banner in

for example 80x210, 25x75 etc

my PRO Version has a better layout for your customers to understand
if you wish to test the advertise section on admincp for limitations

for example how many 80x210 on below whats going on etc...

i will make the PRO version more rebust and still $25 on any addtions i make to it

I will test if you like but im conused as to the new vb advertising option.

I see how to add ads but does the vb advertising options rotate?

I found this to be very very complicated so uninstalled it - it asks for stuff that the average person wouldnt know about or have a clue how to obtain.

I'm going in search of an alternative that is alot more simple.

Vbulletin 4.0.2 should add this to their software. Seems like a good addition if made well. Seems like every modification has back links these days which is huge deciding factor every time I choose to install a mod.

I agree. We have everything moving in the right direction but it's surprisingly that there isn't an all encompassing product. A page to pick what you want to have in your sponsor/advertising package, the ability to put the user in a sponsors usergroup, put them into the paid subscription, automatic renewal reminders, etc.

This would be great if it was automatic and included a banner rotator for the various banner locations.

At the top of the page you can see a "a ". Also if you look at he bottom of the page, the footer is messed up.

Why is there a # link in the NavBar? The information at the top of the page should be phrased, especially since what you have does not apply to 99% of sites out there.
