This is the nomination thread for Board of the Month of March 2010.

Let me reiterate the rules for this thread:

• Only post nominations or seconds, no chatter.
• All seconds are to be placed in 1 post, with a max of 3.
• All seconds should include the word "second" or "+1".
• All posts must be in English.

Please abide by these rules or your post will be removed.


Nominations will be accepted until the 28th of February 2010.

When nominating please post the site name, URL to the forum, a short description what makes your board stand out from default vBulletin, and a reason for nomination that will motivate others to second the nomination. If the staff feels that a nomination post is too promotional it will be edited accordingly.

Any sites without a name, URL, description and reason for nomination will NOT be entered into the poll. Please ensure that your nomination is in the format:

Reason for Nomination: We've created a custom CMS for the Windows 7 Forums website (an example is our articles section), which is completely plugin based and includes features such as category pages, commenting, thumbnailing and inline editing. There are plenty of other additional products and modifications installed on this site to enhance the user experience.

Our community has thrived and grown very quickly since the release of the Windows 7. We're a friendly and helpful forum, and being nominated for BoTM would help us expand even more in to one of the primary resources for Windows 7 information.

Reason for Nomination: I have had many forums over the years and my dedication to this site is second to none. We are very young but have already come a long way in building a member base by having local celebs signing up and local news outlets "following" us.

Reason for Nomination:
Its wholly built on vb4+
Ive built a custom wordpress theme to match,
and a custom smarty based CMS for the free SEO tools.
Im also incorporating Video onto the site
its running several custom MODs for seo,
including the fuzzy seo booster that was launched on vb.org -
I may release the other custom mods over the course of this month,
depending on feedback!

I have posted the site in the vb.org review section and look what people are already raving about: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=232184 - Also on a side note I owe my success to the entire Vbulletin.com/.org Admins/Mods/Members because of using this software we have only been open to the public for a year and couple months and have had over 5,800+ people register on the forum and over 15,000 monthly uniques for a Carpet Cleaning/Disaster Restoration bulletin board, this has surpassed 2 of the worlds largest news related sites in the carpet cleaning and restoration industry! We have tried to go a different route on the design of the website to make it more cleaner and easier to navigate for the end user. My community members help a great deal to make our site more appealing with custom graphics and by assisting in the testing and customization of mods.

Reason for Nomination: We have a number of distinctive modifications made to our site, some imported and modified, others completely custom made. We have a full custom made avatar system, custom gold solution, trade system, shopping system and over 6,000 hand pixeled items. On the backend our email system handled FBL reports, the email system has been modified to allow for sending 50,000+ emails per hour for newsletters and we have detailed mod productivity reports. Our email unsubscription system is almost unheard of any vBulletin site. We've developed our own custom flash games for the site. We created our own system to greet and encourage new users to introduce themselves. Our signup process is completely custom coded and allows for extensive referral tracking. We run a heavily modified live topic system, have a wallpaper download section. The site currently has 75,000 members with over 7 million posts with an average of 5,000 new threads a month. With all of this we even have SMS and Paypal based contributions to the site using our own custom modifications. Our site is without a doubt one of the most heavily modified vBulletin powered boards out there.

Reason for Nomination: Full vBulletin 4.0 suite, with customized skin (By me) several template edits on the forum to clean up and simplify the look (Removed posting rules on the bottom of pages, display options, etc) A few modifications. Site is extremely active, nearly 16,000 members, top of it is niche. Online since 1999, featured in numerous niche related magazines, and other types of media. Members from all over the world including the US, Canada, numerous European countries, Mexico, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, and others.
