Members who have visited today (Widget)
This modification is no longer available or supported. This modification installs a widget to display Members who have visited today. This is a cut down version of the full display, it has no options such as collapse, 24 hour etc. As per the main feature, this cannot count or display guests, it is members only. Note: I produced this mainly just as an experiment in creating widgets. There are no options in this, nor is it my intention to add any - if you want the full functionallity then use the full core feature (or the sideblock version). Also, given that it will display all names, I would not advise using this if you get hundreds of members per day. The basic features are as follows ; 1. Invisible users are only displayed to those allowed to see them (with a "*") 2. Users who should display as coloured or bold etc will be displayed correctly (based on the display usergroup). 3. If you 'hover' over a username it will show the time they were last active. Please note that caching may mean this display is slightly behind realtime (not really checked on this). To install - just unzip the XML and import into vB using the ACP Product Manager. You will then need to go into the Layout manager and add the widget to your CMS display in the normal manner. Works great, just what I was after, thanks for writing it.
Nice to see you've done it via the proper channels as well. Rather than making forum owners edit the widget directly. Via the import product is great. Thanks. Anyone who wants to see it working can visit my site http://www.microlightforum.com Marked as Installed |
Your site (home) doesnt have guest access microlight :)

It works fine in FF 3.5, I dont have any other version.
Also "not worked" is meaningless, you must explain what your issue actually is. |
Not display....
Have you actually read the instructions ?
Works well thanks.

I have no idea - do you have the CMS installed ?
Anyway of putting this on the forum page instead of the home page :)
Widgets only go in the CMS, not any other pages.
thx paul for your great plugins <3
installed and works great in vb 4+
Great stuff Mr. M.
Could you assist me with one minor detail though, perhaps? I'd like to remove the numerical value so an actual number isn't displayed in the wigdet's top bar. I had a quick scoot through the code, but being a non-coder myself, it's all gibberish to me. |
Edit the phrase wvtw_visited_today
Thanking you kindly, Sir... Job's a done!
Would really like to see this widget updated for vBulletin 4.1 :D
You will, all in good time.
I love it, but the widget doesn't have the white background all my other widgets have, so some usernames are unreadable as it is right now.
Indeed, that would seem to be a change (probably in 4.1) I hadnt noticed.
Re-download and install it. |
It is now perfect. Thank you very much Paul :D
Where is the ACP Product Manager?
In the ACP :)
(Admin Control Panel). |
Hi,
good widget! Can you still install option: Can you list how many guests were online today? |
Nope, there is no widget for Guests.
I mean you should list how many guests on the day were online! That would be very interesting!
Has anyone gotten this to work with 4.1.5 ?
Yes. I have it working on my 415 test forum.

I cant install this widget. When I import the .xml file to ACP I've get this: "vbcms product must be installed".
I have only vB Forum license. How to install it without vBCMS? |
