Why are some threads highlighted in purple?
 

And yes, I've already searched for "purple highlighting" which gave me nothing.

I would assume you have the "Thread Listing Color Status" option enabled.

but that has nothing to do with thread marking, does it? If so, it's a far cry from intuitive.

Those are the style options. I think Marco is a little confused :)

Bottom of the forumdisplay page, just above the forum jump you will see "Color Legend:".

Hmm, I take this must only happen if the option is enabled, since I dont have it. :)

If you turn on the "Thread Listing Color Status" in your user profile options, then this will result in 2 changes to your display:

- It will color code the threads (no colors if this option is turned off).
- It will add the legend to the bottom of the page

So either you have the coloring of threads active and then you will also have the legend, or it is turned off and you won't have the legend nor the colored threads.

I think you mean turn on ;) but yeah, Ive never used it, so Ive never seen that legend. :D

I've now turned it off in the User CP but I still have the legend.

lol not the style chooser. lmao. Look right above Forum Jump Menu when viewing a forum. It shows.

As noted above, it only shows if you have that option enabled. I no longer do.

Then the style chooser and width thingy is available to everyone.

wow the purple style rocks hardcore and i set mine to wide.
